Indra Russian-Indian exercise will be held in interspecific format
The third planning conference on the organization and preparation of the first international Russian-Indian interspecific exercise "INDRA - 2017" began in Primorsky Krai, reports press office Eastern District.
According to the press service, “at this stage of the consultations, the representatives of the leadership of the exercise from both sides will clarify the procedure for conducting joint international maneuvers, the scenario of practical actions of the forces (troops) and the composition of the forces and means attracted from the Russian and Indian sides.”
There will also be a “reconnaissance of the training areas, the locations of personnel, weapons and equipment with visits to the training grounds and airfields of the Pacific fleet and the Eastern Military District. ”
This year, for the first time, the Russian-Indian teaching will be held in an inter-specific format.
“Instead of the last year's Indra-Nevi-2016, AviaIndra-2016 and Indra-2016 exercises, one exercise will be held involving the forces of the Pacific Fleet, personnel, weapons and equipment aviation and the ground units of the Eastern Military District, ”the press service explained.
Earlier it was reported that the active phase of this exercise will take place in the second half of October, early November.
