On the Poles and Soviet graves in Poland
The topic is not new, the Polish authorities are systematically and regularly pouring gas on the fire. But today we will talk about completely different things.
About the Poles.
Perhaps for some it will be a revelation, but there are Poles, and there are ... Poles.
Some, splashing hatred, seek to destroy everything connected with that war under the flag of de-communization.
The second ones, not advertising themselves especially, are on the other side of the barricades and restore and repair the very monuments that the authorities are diligently seeking to destroy.
Meet the Commonwealth "Kursk". Founded in 2012 year, as you already understood, in Poland. The name is taken in honor of the Battle of Kursk. Probably not worth explaining why, people involved in such a matter, problems with history do not test.
The aim of the community is the reconstruction / restoration of military and historical monuments and cultural objects located in the territory of modern Poland. As well as effective assistance to local authorities in the field of custody and supervision of the memory sites of various military battles, memorials of military glory and other monuments that are under the protection of the Polish state.
The Kursk Society is engaged in volunteer activities in military cemeteries in Poland. With the help of members of the public and caring people they carry out repairs, renovations of tombstones, graves and decorations of the graves of soldiers of all the battles that have ever taken place on the territory of modern Poland.
In cooperation with the Red Cross of the Republic of Poland, they search for the graves of soldiers of the Polish Army and the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army, who died on the territory of Poland during the hostilities of the last century.
Kursk aims to save as far as possible the destruction of monuments and monuments of antiquity, thematically related to various military events in the past, from destruction and destruction. Accordingly, a reaction follows in the framework of current legislation to all acts of vandalism and the destruction of memorials, monuments and burial sites of soldiers. That is, the relevant services and government agencies are informed about these incidents.
And one more important moment. Quote from the program of the society:
“The Kurks Society actively counteracts the rewriting and distortion of history, protecting the memory and good name of all the soldiers of the Polish Army (Armia Wojska Polskiego), the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army and the Soviet Army who died during the liberation of Poland from the Nazi occupation.”
Here it is worth explaining a certain division. Under the Soviet Army, it is necessary to understand precisely the Red Army of the Great Patriotic War, and under the Red Army - the events of the 20 of the last century. Well, so they share, although the essence is the same.

And there is another line of objects that are waiting for help from caring people.
Mass grave of Soviet soldiers in Dolistovo near the town of Bialystok. The burial is in very poor technical condition and requires urgent intervention. The society has received permission to reconstruct the facility, now we are collecting funds / donations.
In May, 2017, residents of the town of Glubcice appealed to the Kursk Society regarding the restoration and reconstruction of monuments and burial sites located in their district. The Soviet monument, located in the former cemetery, was examined. The monument is in a dilapidated condition, it needs repair, it is planned to receive permission for restoration work in the near future.
The field near the village of Dzbantse - the place of the death of the Soviet tank crew in March 1945. The soldier Gennady Volkov and Nazip Hazipov had 19 and 21 a year, one of them was the Hero of the Soviet Union. The locals take care of the monument, but during the inspection they found a broken sign with a photo.
The field near the village of Glubschitse is the place where another tank crew died, also in March 1945. It requires restoration of a plaque, since the inscription is almost not visible.
Here you should pay attention to the interest of ordinary people who inform, help with their hands and money the work of the Community.
And one more thing, very important.
On September 9, a solemn event will be held near the village of Zabiele in the Podlaskie Region. It will be dedicated to the restoration of the mass grave of 10 by unknown Soviet soldiers killed by the fascist invaders for escaping from the concentration camp in August 1943.
Monument in the forest, visited only by locals.
The reason for holding this ceremony is the fact that the grave's repair was completed recently, carried out by the Kursk Commonwealth on the basis of the permission of the head of the administration of the commune Jasvily.
Our representative will attend the ceremony, at the invitation of the Kursk community. We are confident that the materials captured by Alexander Prokurat from Brest will cause only positive emotions in everyone.
As you can see, dear readers, the Poles are also completely different.
