"Federal-M" is intended for use as a vehicle for the transport of personnel with the necessary level of protection against fire of the main types of small weapons and detonation of explosive devices in off-road conditions and all types of roads.
The salon is equipped with anti-ricochet and anti-shatter protection based on aramid fabrics. During the tests, more than 100 shots with cartridges with a TUS bullet from an 7,62-mm AKM assault rifle from 100 to 10 meters were fired on the body of the vehicle. As a result of the shooting, not a single penetration qualified in accordance with the requirements of GOST was obtained - the formation of a crack through which kerosene can leak.
