Recruits of special forces of the Southern Military District make the first parachute jumps "Crossbow-2"
Before performing the jumps, the scouts completed a course of airborne training on the ground and an airborne complex, during which they acquired the skills of laying parachutes, and also performed special exercises for safe landing on various platforms.
At the airborne complex with military personnel, trainings were conducted on loading on board weapons, military equipment and military goods, as well as fastening weapons and equipment for dropping personnel in full gear.
As part of combat training, for the year of service, each soldier will make more than 15 day and night jumps from heights from 600 to 800 meters to various sites, including in difficult terrain conditions.
In addition, in the course of performing the tasks, after landing, the Special Forces troops will advance to the specified area, work out the questions of disguise, make a secretive movement to the gathering place, and also destroy the enemy with a small weapon and means of imitation.
For reference:
Parachute system "Crossbow-2" is best suited for solving the tasks of special forces, is in service with special and reconnaissance units of the Airborne Forces and is designed for landing with a set of necessary weapons and equipment.
The main distinctive feature of the system is that it allows you to cope with control, bring the dome into a given limited landing area, provide a safe landing with a parachute and proceed to perform tasks.
“Crossbow-2” ensures safe performance of jumps with a flight weight of a paratrooper with special equipment up to 150 kg in the range of air temperatures near the ground from - 35 to + 35 degrees Celsius, at the airspeed of the aircraft at the time of landing to 350 km / h. The design includes the main and reserve parachute systems with planning identical 9-sectional domes, which are located in the same dorsal backpack and have a common suspension system.
The design of the suspension system allows you to place on it additional equipment (cargo) weighing up to 50 kg in a separate cargo container with an autonomous parachute system UGPS-50.
