Presumably, PGO helps 34 to be more maneuverable and not inferior to 27 in close combat - not in vain because it was put on a bomber. Well, also the presence of civilian affects - the 27th did not allow a large overload. hi

34 has no chance of melee combat. and the blame for the armored cabin, albeit from titanium. In principle, the pilot of 34 said this. By the way, the video is already old.

Talgat Bigeldov (2 Hero of the USSR, pilot Il-2) managed to bring Messers down on the attack aircraft - some elements (methodology) need to be worked out and the Su-34 just in case. hi
I don’t know, but with its bow you can stick a good radar - you can work at a distance on air targets.

In real melee, the 34th is not an opponent of the 27th. As already mentioned, the mass noticeably increased (mainly due to the armored cockpit), but the wing area remained the same and the engine thrust was almost the same. And he needs PGO to improve balancing, so that he would at least somehow "compensate" for his pinched nose. And such videos are interesting only from the point of view to consider some details of the aircraft. Well, and admire the aircraft itself, of course. But the amount of useful information in the verbal "channel" tends to zero. Sound can be safely turned off ...

In my opinion, PGO gives an increase in the area of the "bearing planes" (wings). hi

I agree, because the presence of an armored cab allows you to feel more confident, more secure ... Like the pilots of the Lavochkin and Fokke-Wulfs, protected by star engines, went bolder into the frontal than the pilots Yakov and Messer ...
