2011 results of the year in pictures: Air Force - part of 3
The third part of my photo review will be about helicopters.
In connection with a more “closed” information policy pursued by the Russian Helicopters holding, which is far from always in a hurry to please with its production success, especially with regard to the supply of transport helicopters, please do not take the figures indicated in the review as final.
Rather, while it is a draft, which will be added as information becomes available.
As a rule, good material on the results of the domestic helicopter industry over the past year is published by the magazine Vzlyot. But, according to the established tradition, it happens only in May. So stay tuned!
Combat Helicopters
1. Attack helicopter Mi-28H. The manufacturer is Rostvertol OJSC (Rostov-on-Don).
2011 - 12 units (2010 - 11 units, 2009 - 13 units).
In 2011, in Rostov-on-Don, 12 serial helicopters Mi-28H were manufactured,
of which 10 were supplied by the Air Force in two batches:
1-th - 4 pcs (b / n 09, 10, 11, 12 "yellow")
In July, she entered the Combat Training and Retraining Center of the Army aviation in Torzhok. Initially, the vehicles were intended for the 393rd air base in Korenovsk and had red tail numbers (see photo above), after reassigning Torzhok, the color of the numbers was changed to yellow (see photo below).
2-i - 6 pcs (non-45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50 "yellow")
The helicopters were handed over to the 8 Air Force on October 2011 of the year and entered the pulp and paper industry and the PLC in Torzhok. Starting with the helicopter b / n 47 new serial machines began to receive a typical gray color.
Until the end of 2011, another 2 helicopter was manufactured at Rostvertol, but their transfer to the Air Force will take place this year.
2. Ka-52 multipurpose helicopter. The manufacturer is OJSC Arsenyev Aviation Company Progress. N.I. Sazykina "(Arsenyev, Primorsky Krai).
2011 - 12 units (2010 - 4 units, 2009 - 3 units).
In 2011, X-NUMX Ka-12 serial helicopters were manufactured in Arsenyev, according to the data of the magazine Vzlyot (No. 52 / 10) in May 2011 of them were delivered to the Chernigovka air base in Primorsky Krai. Until the end of the year, 8 helicopters were also released, on which, according to the magazine Vzlyot (No. 4 / 12), the Arbalet radar systems were already installed (the first production vehicles did not have it).
The helicopters were to be transferred to the Air Force in December, the information will be clarified.

Second important newsassociated with the Ka-52, along with the commencement of the delivery of the first production helicopters to the front-line units, are the development works that Kamov OJSC is carrying out to create the ship version of the Ka-52K helicopter.
Despite the fact that these machines are not directly related to the Air Force, their production commissioned by the Russian Navy will provide additional loading by Progress. The assembly of the Ka-52K, which will be conducted simultaneously with the production of the Ka-52 by order of the Air Force, is scheduled to begin in the 2014 year.

3. Transport and combat helicopter Mi-35M. Manufacturer - Rostvertol OJSC
(Rostov-on-Don).
2011 - 4 pcs (the first supply of the Air Force helicopters of this type).
In 2011, the first 4 Mi-35М helicopters were manufactured for the Russian Air Force.
The cars have a standard gray color and side numbers 50, 51, 54 and 56 yellow. In December, the helicopters were to be transferred to the Air Force and arrive at the air base in Budyonnovsk.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, 2 helicopters were transferred to the Army Air Force aviation,
although continued to carry out flights in the area of Rostov-on-Don. Information will be clarified.
Transport and training helicopters
4. Heavy transport helicopter Mi-26. Manufacturer - Rostvertol OJSC
(Rostov-on-Don).
2011 - 4 pcs (the first delivery of the Air Force helicopters of this type since 1994 (?) Year).
In the 2011, 4 heavy Mi-26 transport helicopters were manufactured.
These are the first new helicopters of this type, which were manufactured by order of the Russian Air Force after a long break. The cars have 05 and 06 “blue” and 01 and 02 “yellow” tail numbers,
The first pair was handed over to the 25 Air Force on October 2011 of the year and traveled to a permanent home base in the Far East.

5. Mi-8 medium transport helicopters. Manufacturers - OJSC Kazan Helicopter Plant and OJSC Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant.
2011 - at least 10 units (2010 - at least 15 units, 2009 - no data).
In the 2011 year, deliveries of the Air Force of the new Mi-8 family of helicopters continued.
At the end of May, a batch of X-NUMX helicopters Mi-10AMTSH transferred to the Air Force a plant in Ulan-Ude. 8 helicopters from this party arrived at the Korenovsk airbase, which in December 6 had already received 2010 of similar vehicles.
Another four helicopters (w / n 01, 02, 03, 04 "blue") arrived at the air base in Rostov-on-Don.
Data on other shipments of helicopters of this type will be specified.
6. Training and training helicopter "Ansat-U".
Manufacturer - OJSC Kazan Helicopter Plant.
2011 - 8 pcs (presumably) (2010 - no data, 2009 6 pcs)
According to the newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda from October 9 2011, the 8 helicopters Ansat-U arrived at the Syzran branch of the military educational and scientific center of the Air Force N.A. Zhukovsky and Yu.A. Gagarin.
In total, 2011 for the Russian Air Force built at least 50 new helicopters for various purposes, of which at least 40 was transferred to the Air Force and entered service for air bases.
