The State Department called on Moscow to “return to compliance with the INF Treaty”

101
US calls on Russia to return to the execution of the INF Treaty, the purpose of which is to destroy a whole class weapons in the name of safety on Earth, transmits RIA News Statement by Secretary of State John Kerry.

“As the president (USA Barack) Obama said, the rules should be binding. Therefore, we urge Russia to return to compliance with the INF Treaty, thus ensuring the purpose of the treaty - the destruction of a whole class of weapons in our arsenals for the benefit of Europe, Asia and the rest of the world ”,
said Kerry on the occasion of the 30 anniversary summit in Reykjavik, at which Mikhail Gorbachev and Ronald Reagan "laid the foundations for strategic arms reductions."

The Secretary of State commended the efforts of the leaders of the two countries 30-year-old.

“The ideas that President Ronald Reagan and General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev discussed laid the foundations for modern arms control and disarmament, helped reverse the arms race and pushed the negotiations on the INF and the Treaty on the Reduction of Strategic Offensive Arms,” he said.

Kerry recalled that during the cold war years, the USSR and the USA had accumulated thousands of nuclear warheads, and "Reagan and Gorbachev were able to initiate the mutual reduction of nuclear arsenals and means of delivering atomic weapons."

What problems? First, we return to the ABM Treaty, and then we begin to procrastinate the INF Treaty.
It is illogical to place the cart before the horse. After all, our Iskanders and Gauges are just the answer to the US withdrawal from this treaty. Or do Americans sincerely believe that they can ride on simpletons? Russia is not the same, baby!

And the agreement, of course, must be observed ... on paper - they also understand this and close to their hearts, so they will not be offended, on the contrary, they will be considered "best friends." What's the trick here? There is no direct benefit to the US from this treaty, but to Europe. Merkel and other Fuhrer will immediately think about the frailty of their existence. Russia will suffer minimal damage - all the same, the MK-41 installations are designed to launch medium-range nuclear Tomahawks, i.e. this threat still exists now; it will not be worse. It will be a real anti-European sanction.

You are absolutely right. Usually "bazaar" is about the fact that one or another party is not violating the Treaty, not the "letter", but a certain "spirit" of the Treaty.
As for "can be used" ... I always give an example of an anecdote in such cases. I will repeat for those who do not know

A man is being tried for hooliganism. Suddenly, the prosecutor takes the floor and demands that an article on moonshine be added to the indictment.
The man has eyes "for seven cents" and he asks the prosecutor
    - I don’t understand, but where does the moonshining come from?
    prosecutor:
    - A moonshine was found in your home during a search
    Man:
    - But I didn’t make moonshine
    prosecutor:
    - But drive the device
    Man:
Then judge me also for rape
    prosecutor:
    - And what does it have to do with it?
    Man:
    - so in fact the "apparatus" that is

So it is here. talk that from Mk.41 can shoot and "Tomahawks" from about the same opera. A point-blank question. Are there Tomahawks in these launchers in Romania? The answer is negative. And what can be used ... So with the mobile launcher of the anti-ship complex "Bastion" (2 TPK), and with the mobile launcher of the anti-ship complex "Caliber" (6 TPK), you can launch instead of the missiles with the "E" index and missiles without this index ...
Violation? But these are arguments of about the same order as arguments about the PU MK-41

When we exit the agreement on the INF Treaty, then they really will. And there will be such missiles no longer in the West of Germany, in Italy or Great Britain, but in Estonia, Poland, Romania. And the flight time for them will not be 7-10 minutes, as before, but 2-3 minutes. Great, right? This is what will happen if you follow your advice and withdraw from the INF Treaty. Moreover, we only have to create such missiles, and they already have them - these are target missiles. We will have to choose what to do. Either rivet medium-range missiles in order to level the threat by scoring the Strategic Missile Forces and the Navy for rearmament, or make missiles for the Strategic Missile Forces, leaving this segment naked (they will have it - we don’t have it). Choose ... Here is the price of your offer to score on all contracts

Well, firstly, Vladimir Vladimirovich knows better. Supports, then it is necessary. And why not support if they are being implemented. True, unilaterally - judging by the fact that the United States has target missiles ...
And secondly, such missiles will be in Estonia, Poland, Romania. You will see - they will be there. Even if you do not follow my advice on withdrawing from the contract. NATO, after all, did not remain within the agreed limits, but expanded steadily, despite the agreements. In the meantime, we will modernize the Strategic Missile Forces and the enemy fleet will achieve the guaranteed destruction of our missiles on the march. And that’s it. The office can be closed. I do not propose to score on all contracts. I simply believe that the only way to mitigate the threat of nuclear war is to make it technologically impossible.

As for the robbery, I can only recall one case related to the disputed stretch of the sea that Shevarnadze gave to the Americans. So what in those years was expressed robbery and humiliation of Russia.
Yes, the treaty was unequal (with regard to the destruction of the Oka), and for this one must really "thank" only a couple of Gorbi-Shevardnadze. Inequal in a number of articles, but it was not humiliating. Still, let's stick to historical facts on the Voennoye Obozreniye resource ...

It's time for the Americans to return to the ABM Treaty.
    Did Obama mean this?

Do not indulge in pipe dreams. On that ABM treaty, you can put a big and bold cross. He was good during the strategic arms race, served as a kind of brake on this race. Now he no longer plays the role as before, and to us he is not particularly profitable.

Not before the United States returns to the ABM Treaty and withdraws its troops from the borders of the Russian Federation ...

    -----------------------------
In general, the ABM itself is a direct violation of the INF Treaty, because the notorious MK-41 installations can be loaded not only with Standard-2 or Standard-3 anti-missiles, but also with Tomahawks, and they are already deployed on land, and not on destroyers. The West in general is testing the most modern concepts of war on us at the moment. Starting with the notorious "knight's wedge" on Lake Peipsi. Then the combined forces of Napoleon (then NATO), then the Panzerwaffe Guderian's tank wedges with the massive bombing of Goering's Luftwaffe. Now it is a "disarming global strike", the elements of which were practiced during the destruction of the air defenses of Iraq and Libya. In general, the concept of the West is quite well thought out and not entirely hopeless, which was demonstrated yesterday by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on a computer simulation of the use of a missile defense system against Russian carriers of nuclear weapons.

Mr. Kerry should not be listened with special zeal, he’s just a talker as a talker, cut Mr. Kerry to start all missile defense launcher systems in Europe with a range of 2,5 thousand kilometer land missiles on land, which is a direct violation of the agreement mr and interprets.

    What a memory grandfather John!

I remembered the last century. Since then SO MUCH water has flowed that it is inconvenient to even talk about contracts with America.
Of course, it is possible to negotiate, but it is hoped that the Americans will fulfill the promised naive error.

Lord, how heartily and convincingly, right heels are already blushing for Russia. Well, she does not comply with the INF Treaty and that’s it. The United States is trying, even out of the ABM Treaty, but nothing. What is it all the same, this Russia is non-negotiable. Especially if the contract is in favor of the Saxon Saxons. Not good, oh not good.

Well, yes, - the USA does not have Russia on the Euro continent, and Russia should not! This is due to the fact that Russia, being surrounded by a flock of hyenas, is obliged for a fair fight to change the gun to a photo gun.

“As President (US Barack) Obama said, the rules must be binding. Therefore, we urge Russia to return to compliance with the INF Treaty, thus ensuring the goal of the treaty is to destroy a whole class of weapons in our arsenals to the benefit of Europe, Asia and the rest of the world
And now the question: "How much is the implementation of this law beneficial to the United States and how much Russia?"
When this treaty was signed and, accordingly, the destruction of these TWO classes of missiles, the point was to ensure the security of the whole world, since there was a confrontation between the two world systems and, roughly speaking, 30% of countries were opposed by 30% of countries, with an almost tacit consent of the "non-aligned" 40% and that's all that the tension was reduced was for the benefit of all. Do not forget that only the United States and the USSR actually had such missiles in their arsenals, in appropriate quantities.
What is happening now. In fact, we were left alone, without significant support from other countries. We did not have any significant allies left, but travel companions appeared whose interests only partially coincide with ours. On our borders there have appeared states with both small and medium-range missiles in their arsenal, and these missiles threaten our security. And we cannot demand from them their destruction, since they did not sign such agreements.
Conclusion - in the current situation, this treaty should be assessed in terms of "+" and "-", in terms of ensuring the security of Russia, as well as the consequences of refusing to fulfill it. And if "-" prevails, then raise the issue of abandoning this Treaty, in case the situation continues to deteriorate.

I would not be surprised if some kind of "Gorbachev Center" is built in the Russian Federation, by analogy with the "Yeltsin Center". He loves our power to pay tribute to those who deliberately destroy the country and sell. For some reason, Stalin and Beria do not want to erect any centers. And as for agreements with "partners", why should Russia observe what these same "partners" never intended to observe? All politicians are just puppets and voice the speeches of real rulers, those who have an unrealistic amount of money.

If you fulfill the requirements then we’ll think about it, the requirements are voiced, there’s nothing to talk about.
Washington will have to reduce the NATO contingent in Eastern Europe (and, of course, in the Baltic states as well), abolish the Magnitsky law and all anti-Russian sanctions, and also compensate for all damage caused to Russia by the consequences of the sanctions policy.

More importantly, plutonium has the goal of destroying the United States.

Most of all, Her Majesty (the INF Treaty was signed solely in Her interests) is concerned about the quasi-ballistic trajectory of the mysterious Rubezh missile,

Did you talk to her personally? Does the quasi-ballistic trajectory of the Yars or Bulava not worry her?

    Quote: hrych
These are universal systems capable of intercontinental flight and hitting targets at medium and short range

at short range this complex cannot hit anything. At medium... Like any intercontinental complex, it can be launched at a minimum range, which is about 1000 km. At the same time, the accuracy of such a missile system drops tens of times. In the same way, both the old Topol and the newer Topol-M, Yars and Bulava can fly at a minimum range of 1000-15000 km. The Topol-E complex also flies at the same ranges.

Well, firstly, Vladimir Vladimirovich knows better. Supports, then it is necessary. And why not support if they are being implemented. True, unilaterally - judging by the fact that the United States has target missiles ...

And you think he doesn't know? He thinks that both sides are doing it, but it turns out that only Russia? Give him a telegram urgently and open his eyes to this.
And the fact that they have target missiles is because they created them absolutely legally, within the framework of the INF Treaty. Just as we created the Rubezh missile using some loopholes in the START treaty.

In general, the missile defense system itself is a direct violation of the INF Treaty, because the notorious MK-41 installations can be loaded not only with Standard-2 or Standard-3 anti-missile missiles, but also with Tomahawks, and they are already located on land,

The second direct violation of the INF Treaty is the Russian mobile anti-ship coastal systems "Bastion" and "Caliber", as well as container complexes with "Caliber" missiles. Especially the first two. AND?

Keri forgot to say that they did not destroy their warheads and did not recycle their plutonium.

    Did we destroy the warheads?

The agreement to eliminate surplus weapons-grade plutonium is due to enter into force in 2018. Those 34 tons that both we and they had to convert to MOX fuel do not fall under this agreement. This is a voluntary and trial liquidation. We did it, the Americans did not. One of the reasons is the lack of appropriate capacity. We have now canceled this agreement. We will deal with the remaining 135 tons as we see fit.

We also have short-range missiles. The same Tochkas and Iskanders, as for medium-range missiles, Chinese, Iranian and North Korean MRBMs pose a danger to us. But many people consider these countries to be Russia’s allies? So do they threaten our safety: Eun, for example?

According to the treaty on the elimination of SMD missiles, a classification has been established where short-range missiles are considered to be from 500 to 1000 km, medium-range from 1000 to 5500 km, then ICBMs.

Maneuvering units with individual guidance, where does this heresy about accuracy come from? Hypersonic speed for an ICBM block is not news, but maneuvering hypersonic block - there is news.
