The remains of the Libyan fleet in Tripoli

9
A small photo report appeared on the Turkish website www.turkishny.com 6 in January 2012, which captured the surviving or disabled ships of the Libyan Navy in Tripoli naval base.

In the course of the NATO forces ’campaign against the Gaddafi government, the British Royal Air Force twice attacked the Libyan naval forces and ships under the control of Gaddafis in Tripoli. Evening 19 May 2011, British Tornado fighter-bombers with guided missiles Brimstone GR.4A seriously damaged the patrol boat Al Ghardabia (tail number "213") Soviet project 1159TR and sank or seriously damaged three missile boats of the type La Combattante IIG French-built, one of which completely sank, and two remained in a submerged state. During the re-raid on the night of 9 in August, the Tornado GR.4A fighter-bombers of the 617 Squadron finished off the Al Ghardabia patrol ship with a direct hit by the 500-pound Paveway IV guided bombs, causing the ship to tip over onto the port side and sink to the wall. It should be noted that Al Ghardabia, according to known information, was already out of order and did not go to sea from 2007 of the year.

Judging by the photo essay and known information, two large landing ships of the French Ibn Ouf type, two La Combattante IIG type missile boats, one Project 266ME sea minesweeper, several patrol boats and two landing boats and an Al rescue vessel survived from the Libyan Navy ships in Tripoli. Munjed Yugoslav built. Of the other Libyan Navy ships, according to known data, the Al Hani patrol ship (tail number "2011") of project 212TR, the small missile ship Tariq Ibn Ziyaad (tail number "1159") of project 416E and the sea were captured by rebels in Benghazi in February 1234 Project 123ME minesweeper Rass Al Massad (tail number "266"), as well as one La Combattante IIG missile boat, two Project 205ER missile boats and several patrol boats (the list may not be complete). It is unclear the fate of the small missile ship Ain Zaara (tail number "418") of Project 1234E that was in malfunctioning port of Misurata (according to some reports, it was destroyed as a result of the strike aviation NATO on the evening of May 19).

What can I say: heroic workers - these same NATO members! There is something to be proud of! Defeating such a powerful, vicious dictator is worth a lot! Where is he with his slingshots (and this is how you can call the weapon of the Gaddafists in comparison with the "lionfish" of the Alliance) against the world peacemaker - NATA! Here is Syria - it would be a bummer to take it. You can get a shovel in the face ...

Well, enemies, then enemies. But how the Libyans themselves behaved is bad. Although, apparently, in the case of a mess, it can be even more nightmare.

This is what happens to those who do not rearm their armies in time. In the 80s, our weapons saved Gaddafi, and the same weapons did not save after 30 years, because it was outdated, not really serviced, and the army was painted for parades and borders.

Taking the example of Libya, it is obvious that the "Arab Spring" turned against Russia. It completes the process of liquidating the political legacy of the USSR in the Middle East, which Putin tried so actively to revive in the early years of his presidency. This process began with the destruction of Saddam Hussein's regime in 2003, continued with the overthrow of Husni Mubarak and Muammar Gaddafi, and now may end with the victory of the opposition in Syria (Russia is trying to prevent this scenario in every possible way). In this context, the collapse of the regime in Egypt was symbolic. Although Mubarak was never considered an ardent ally of Moscow, and continued the strategic partnership with Washington established by his predecessor, he was the last leader in the Arab world to be educated in the USSR and could even speak Russian. This graduate of the Frunze Military Academy in March 2008 in an interview with RIA Novosti proudly noted: "I remember the Russian language and often speak Russian when I negotiate with officials from Russia." And 11 years earlier, in an interview with Nezavisimaya Gazeta, Mubarak recalled Soviet times with nostalgia: "Under the communists, much was better. Communism, socialism are progressive phenomena." It is no coincidence that of all Arab leaders, he was especially persistent in advocating the return of post-Soviet Russia to the Middle East, which, with Putin's coming to power, contributed to the intensification of bilateral relations.

When did Putin try to revive the legacy of the USSR? Especially in the early 2000s ... He then completely danced to the tune of the Washington Regional Committee.
Who surrendered the electronic intelligence base in Lourdes (Cuba)?
Who handed over the unique base of the Navy and Air Force in Kamrani (Vietnam)?
Who secretly negotiated after the Kursk was killed?
Who practically disarmed the Moscow missile defense system?
Who allowed UWB to Central Asia?
Who passed Iraq and Libya? It’s not necessary to think that Medvezhenok handed over Libya - he, as it turned out, does nothing without Putin.
