Ten people died in an explosion in a trolleybus in Volgograd, 10 people were injured. The investigation believes that the new explosion in the Volgograd trolley could be a terrorist attack, according to RIA News with reference to the statement of SU IC.

According to preliminary data, a suicide bomber exploded in a trolleybus in Volgograd. This was reported to ITAR-TASS by sources in the power structures of the region.

In the Dzerzhinsky district of Volgograd an explosion occurred in a trolleybus, as a result of which, according to preliminary data, ten people died.

This information was confirmed to Interfax in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and in the TFR.

“While we can confirm that an explosion occurred in a trolleybus in Volgograd, ten people died,” the Interior Ministry’s press center told Interfax.

In turn, the TFR reported that there were victims as a result of the explosion.

“At the scene of the explosion that occurred in a trolleybus in the Dzerzhinsky district of Volgograd, the investigators left,” TFR spokesman Vladimir Markin told Interfax.

The press service of the traffic police in Volgograd "Interfax" reported that in connection with the explosion is limited to traffic on Kachintsev street. Drivers are asked to drive around the site of the explosion on Zhukov Avenue, Zemlyachka Street and Mamayev Kurgan Top.

Investigators of the TFR went to the scene of the explosion to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
