Star and life of Slobodan Milosevic

22

August 20 would have turned 75 years one of the most famous political figures of the end of the past - the beginning of this century - the President of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Slobodan Milosevic. His life was tragically cut short, and the country for which he had fought ceased to exist. But there are still echoes of that struggle, the hopeless struggle that he led, first in high office, and then in the dock of the so-called “Hague Tribunal”.

Accidentally, it coincided or not, but shortly before Milosevic's 75 anniversary, an important detail surfaced in numerous media related to his case. First, the American Balkan researcher Andy Wilcoxon, and after him - the British journalist and political scientist Nick Clarke and the famous Italian journalist and public figure, former MEP Julietto Chiesa drew the attention of the public to the fact that The Hague had actually dropped Milosevic’s accusations about the events in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The loudest was the statement by Giulietto Chiesa, who on his page, as well as in the video blog on the Italian channel Pandora.TV, stressed: March 24, during the sentencing of the Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic, the Tribunal found insufficient evidence of S. Milosevic’s deportation of Muslims and Croats in 1992-1995 (not to mention the charge of “genocide”).

However, according to the journalist, the Western press deliberately kept silent about this. "For those who understand what this is about, this news “A bomb that should force at least all Western leaders to apologize,” said Chiesa, “or they should be put on the bench of the same tribunal.” Chiesa added that the Hague court "serves the western marsh."

Indeed, on the 1303 page of the verdict to Radovan Karadzic, in paragraph 3460, it says: “The court did not find evidence that Milosevic agreed with the General Plan for the implementation of the Bosnian Muslim genocide.” His involvement in the “consistent ousting of Bosnian Muslims and Bosnian Croats from the territory of the Bosnian Serbs” has not been proven either. Moreover, the same verdict stresses that there was disagreement between Karadzic and Milosevic about what is happening in Bosnia, that the latter criticized the Bosnian Serbs for ethnic cleansing and called for an end to the war.

However, some lawyers (among whom is Radovan Karadzic’s lawyer, Goran Petronievich) believe that there was no justification for Slobodan Milosevic. Because we are talking about a document relating to another person (Karadzic).

Most likely, legally, one cannot really say that the Hague Tribunal acquitted Milosevic. But in fact it turns out the following. The accusations of The Hague against S. Milosevic concerned three main events: the “genocide” in Bosnia, the war in Croatia and the events in Kosovo.

Then the tribunal declares that there is no evidence of the involvement of the main defendant in the crimes in Bosnia. At least a third of the charges fly into the trash. And how much noise was there! And how much propaganda! And as the president of Serbia, and then Yugoslavia, demonized at all angles! In France, for example, even hung up posters on which the portrait of Milosevic coexisted with the portrait of Hitler!

Of course, no apology will follow. The West does not like to admit its own mistakes, and if it does, it does so with a cynical smile. Not guilty S. Milosevic of the genocide in Bosnia? Did Saddam have chemical weapons? Gaddafi really fought with terrorists, and did not shoot the demonstrations? But, they say, they saved the world from "dictators" (and incidentally - from many more civilians, but then - incidental victims).

After the statement by Giulietto Chiesa, State Duma Deputy Ivan Sukharev called on the UN General Assembly to abolish the tribunal in The Hague - “a punitive body that executes orders of Washington and Brussels.”

Belgrade also responded to the fact that the verdict of R. Karadzic contains words about Milosevic’s innocence. Serbian Foreign Minister, current chairman of the Socialist Party of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, made an official statement. It states that the accusations against Milosevic, as well as Serbia, the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia "were erroneous and false", but "there is complete silence about this in the West."

It should be noted that Ivica Dacic actually took a traitorous stance towards the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) created by Slobodan Milosevic. After the death of the leader in the dungeons of the Hague, Dacic, who took the lead of the party, abruptly changed its course to pro-European, pro-Western, compromising. He was not even at the funeral of the creator of the ATP. Nevertheless, even Dachich today speaks of S. Milosevic’s innocence and opposes an unjust trial. Because it is already obvious to all sensible people.

Ivica Dacic is a typical representative of the current government of Serbia, which conducts extremely inconsistent policies and tries to sit on two chairs. The demonization of S. Milosevic continues in Serbia and at the same time the attempt to glorify the traitor Zoran Djindjic. Signed numerous cooperation agreements with NATO. The Serbian leadership decided to join the EU, even though Serbia was demanded to recognize the puppet pseudo-state of Kosovo on the territory torn from the country.

At the same time, other trends can be traced in parallel - the Serbian people still believe in Russia and want to cooperate with it. And the authorities, in order not to sign the death sentence, are forced to take this into account.

17 August US Vice President Joe Biden arrived in Serbia. For the first time in all these years, the American representative expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of the 1999 bombing of the year. Bombing carried out without UN sanction. Although at that time, Biden, being a senator, actively supported these bombardments and even demanded their tightening. He called the Serbs derogatory words. Now he hypocritically "sympathized" ...

The American "guest" on the streets of Belgrade was greeted with a protest rally, with posters "NATO - get out!". Vojislav Seselj, a former prisoner of the Hague Judgment, said: “We are protesting against the visit of the bandit and the criminal Biden, who again defiles the holy Serbian land with his presence”

It seems that even Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic (the moderator, I repeat, the policy of “sitting on two chairs”) gathered the remnants of courage to fight the impudent hypocrite. Nikolic said that although joining the EU is very important for Serbia, it will not support sanctions against Russia. And does not recognize the independence of Kosovo. Though for this - thanks!

Despite the fact that Serbia, as soon as it broke for over 25 years, it still retains sovereignty. And considerable merit in this belongs precisely to Slobodan Milosevic. No matter how he was criticized, no matter how pointed out his mistakes, he showed that it was necessary to resist the impudent pressure and even direct aggression. Some blame him for allegedly “losing Kosovo”, but even the fact that Nikolic today can talk about Serbia’s rights to this land is Milosevic’s merit. Because he rejected the NATO ultimatum in March 1999 of the year and defended the principle of the territorial integrity of his country. This principle is enshrined in UN Security Council Resolution No. XXUMX. And the fact that the West and its satellites are doing violence over this resolution is no longer his fault.

The life of Slobodan Milosevic flashed a bright star and burned. But still his name cannot be crossed out. stories. Even in spite of total denigration. In fact, he absolutely does not need any belated excuses or unjustifications of the Hague court. All the same, he left innocent and unbroken.

Milosevic admitted weakness in 1999, so he was "devoured".

Nobody justified him there. They only established that he did not agree on a general plan with Karadzic. This is a clean stuffing from the objective Russian press.

the patriot surrendered the Serbian Krajina, the Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Kosovo was the apotheosis. The article all sparkles with pink colors - however, this is the style of Gromova. Conclusions must be made by our leadership, looking at the fate of Milosevic and Gaddafi. Those dodged under the "Western partners", in the end

Believing Serbs, as before the Yugoslavs, is impossible. Remember why Tito suddenly inflamed with hatred for the Soviet Union. And Milosevic in relation to RUSSIA also did not * glow with love *. Remember his statements and requirements for RUSSIA. As soon as the Serbs are so tight right away - * RUSSIA, brothers, save *.

I don’t understand something - I pressed the plus, the numbers under the article increased, but the "like" did not disappear. So am I plus or not? Or is the number of "pluses" not limited?
The old site was more convenient.

Did the fact that there were complicated relations between the USSR and Yugoslavia mean that it had to be bombed in another historical epoch?

So Yugoslavia was bombed by long-term partners and * colleagues in ideology *. It was RUSSIA who opposed the bombing, right up to the * demarche * of Prime Minister Primakov, and this despite the frankly provocative statements of the Yugoslavs against RUSSIA.
