GNPP "Basalt" products adopted by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation
By decree of the Government of the Russian Federation in December 2011, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have adopted:
RPG-28 reactive anti-tank grenade,
RSHG-1 jet assault grenade,
RMG reactive multi-purpose grenade,
reactive anti-tank grenade in inert equipment RPG-28I,
reactive multi-purpose grenade in inert equipment of the RMGI.
RPG-28 anti-tank rocket grenade is a rocket projectile with a tandem-shaped cumulative armor-piercing warhead with 125mm caliber (main warhead) and a warhead leader designed to overcome dynamic protection, and a powder jet engine, fully working in the barrel of a disposable starter.
The RSHG-1 rocket assault grenade is a rocket projectile with a thermobaric warhead of 105mm caliber (otherwise known as a “volume explosion ammunition”) and a powder jet engine, which is fully developed in the barrel of a disposable starter.
The RMG reactive multifunctional grenade was developed on the basis of the RShG-1 rocket assault grenade, and unified with it by the launcher and the rocket engine. The RMG reactive multifunctional grenade is a rocket propeller with a tandem warhead consisting of a leading cumulative armor-piercing warhead and the main thermobaric warhead with an 105mm caliber (otherwise called “volumetric explosion ammunition”) and a powder jet engine fully operating in the barrel of a disposable trigger device.
