The Russian government approved a program for the development of the defense complex

The Russian government approved the state program “Development of the military-industrial complex”, for which 4 billion rubles will be allocated over the course of 35 years, reports TASS.
The goal of the program is to “increase the competitiveness of products based on the realization of the innovation potential and stimulate the development of the defense-industrial complex”. The responsible executive is the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
Tasks of the program, incl. are: “the development and implementation of the innovation potential of organizations of the military-industrial complex, ensuring the promotion of military products to world arms markets, ensuring the stable functioning and growth of the industrial production of organizations of the military-industrial complex, developing personnel potential and building up the intellectual potential in the field of the military-industrial complex ".
The program will be implemented “in one step - 2016-2020 years”.
The results of the program should be: “Improving the competitiveness of products of the military-industrial complex in the domestic and foreign markets and the growth of industrial production in the military-industrial complex in 1,8 times to the level of 2014 year; an increase in the share of innovative products in the total volume of industrial products shipped from 34,4% in 2016 to 39,6% in 2020; the growth in output per worker of the military-industrial complex in 2,4 times to the level of 2014 of the year; growth of monthly wages of workers of organizations of the military-industrial complex in 1,8 times to the level of 2014 of the year ”.
