“The squadron of MiG-29CMT fighters of the Western Military District (ZVO) has begun flight tactical exercises at one of the testing grounds in the Kursk region,” the release said.

According to the press service, “in the course of the exercise, the squadron is being trained to a higher degree of combat readiness, preparing aircraft for departure, pair and single takeoffs, striking unguided rockets at ground columns of conventional enemy armored vehicles.”

In addition, the press service noted, “on one of the days, the duty forces of the fighter compound will be checked as part of the exercise.”

According to the information, in trainings “more than 10 MiG-29CMT aircraft take part and about 100 engineering and flight personnel”.
