At the same time, representatives of the Pentagon and NATO expressed great concern, due to the likely presence on the ships of the RK "Caliber"

Bor, I lived next to this plant, rented an apartment. Therefore, I remember the name. It’s about 500 meters to go from Oktyabrskaya Street ... Well, since the plant is working and doing the necessary work, otherwise the industry was driven completely under the baseboard ...

But ... the Russian government bought bonds again for almost 4 billion dollars with a hook ... instead of building factories, factories, etc., instead of creating jobs in their country, they are tearing Russia ... Maybe someone will explain intelligibly - How long ??? hi

I was also in this city, at the beginning of the 90s, being the head of the supply department of a car complex, by hook or by crook I received 2 sets of tinted glasses for the GAZ-3102 of Resin's official car (then the head of Mosstroykommitet), I had to give a set of studded rubber for the Volga too. That was the time, no foreign cars tinted black "Volga" supreme chic for the leadership.

There is also a huge glass factory in the city of Bor, although it is now producing glass under a Japanese brand. And the second is the same plant for the production of industrial glass in Saratov. Bor is the city of glaziers, even on the faceted glasses of the USSR it was written "Bor". Now the well-known Turkish "Paşabahçe" is doing the dishware there.

Two a year? Not a lot.
There was such a Liberty steamer during the war.
The construction of the first 14 ships took about 230 days. During 1941-1942, through successive improvements, the construction period (from laying to launching) was reduced to 42 days. In November 1942, Kaiser shipyards set a record - SS Robert Peary laid down on November 8 was launched on November 12 (4 days, 15 hours and 29 minutes after laying), and went on its first voyage on November 22; the ship survived the war and served until 1963. However, it was rather a propaganda trick that could not be reproduced in series. In total, 18 shipyards were employed in the construction of Liberty (not counting the numerous subcontractors), and in 1943 the output averaged 3 ships a day.
    Main characteristics
    Displacement 14 tons
    135 meters length
    Width 17,3 meters
    Draft 8,5 meters
Engines One steam engine, 2 boilers
    2360 power l. with.
Propulsion unit 1 four-bladed propeller diameter approx. 2,9 meters
    Travel speed 11 knots (20,4 km/h) or 11,5 knots
    Crew 41 people[1] (ranging from 38-62)
This is a full-fledged steamer for 42 days, 14000 tons, and then 200 tons and six months of technology in the forties. Such boats should be made in a month.

Well, yes, in finance, make money in a month, and go work on.
And then there are two boats a year, people have to be fed for a whole year, and zilch of money.

Yes, with money now twist, stir up, banks, bosses. Under the USSR, there were no problems at all with the passage of money. It was not for nothing that the financial system was simplified and worked well. And the scale was. They produced hundreds of pieces of equipment a month, tens of thousands of large components and machine sets. Now what? The cat wept. A huge factory with complex infrastructure makes a small business assembly barn program. Therefore, the bourgeoisie are fighting for the utilization of their factories, and ours "are being integrated into the world market."

So the plant not only produces this class of ships. And not 18 shipyards, but only one factory ...
And Liberty ... I'm afraid today the United States will not be able to cope with such a project in this time, and at comparable costs! They then baked battleships like pies!

How can we explain the insanity of our Central Bank?
The Ministry of Finance tried to get 3 billion rubles (against 4 launched by the Central Bank into "space") and received a natural splash from pendoshkans:
"... EU officials have recommended European banks to refrain from placing Russian government bonds, American banks refused to place Russian securities. This is reported by the American financial publication NASDAQ."
    Or insanity or ...

It will not, oddly enough. Bor is the closest satellite city of Nizhny Novgorod and its donor in terms of labor. There were many large enterprises — auto repair, pipe rolling, glass, this shipbuilding. As a result, no one became city-forming. The glass is as automated as possible, the load at other enterprises is small. Much has gone into small business and in Nizhny. And so Bor looks like Los Angeles, the long gut of villages turning into each other. About how Moscow united and unites its former villages.
