Russian students sent an appeal to the UN and the International Tribunal demanding to judge the American president as a war criminal
From a statement by an activist studying in Astrakhan, and from statements by protesters from other cities in Russia:
We sincerely do not understand why the United States, through its president, assumed the role of magistrate, why the United States is not responsible for the thousands of lives taken away from the citizens of Libya, Yugoslavia, Iraq, Syria, and other countries whose sovereignty has been repeatedly violated.
We fully agree with the authors of the petition, and also demand a fair trial of Barack Obama and the announcement of US policy as the main threat to human civilization.
Students from Russian universities from Kabardino-Balkaria, Vladimir, the Republic of Crimea, the Stavropol Territory, Kamchatka and other regions of the Russian Federation took part in the action.
Perhaps the initiative of the Russian students looks somewhat naive, because, and the students themselves are well aware of this, both the UN and the international court are today turned into organizations that protect the interests of the United States in the first place. However, with all the seemingly naivete of the action, it has its own informational weight, and, possibly, will be picked up by students from other countries of the world.
