In an interview with a Russian TV channel Russia Today Yusuf Ramadan, a resident of northern Turkey, an ethnic Kurd, said that the Turkish military crossed the border with Syria last year and began to equip a "new" section of the border. This section, according to eyewitnesses, runs significantly south of the official border - recognized by the UN. In the material RT it is said that the Kurds living in the northern provinces of Syria provided a video showing how Turkish bulldozers are building fortifications. According to the authors of the video, the authenticity of which the RT journalist speaks of as not yet confirmed, Turkish bulldozers, under the cover of the Turkish military, are already working on Syrian territory.

On December 22nd, the Turkish military crossed the border. We told them that they violate our rights and invade private property. They replied that they were acting on orders from the command. Ankara ordered to move the border. And, despite the fact that local residents began to hold protests, they soon brought in equipment and began work.
