The "Bal-E" complex entered service with the Caspian flotilla

Formed CFL Coastal Missile Forces Unit (Caspian flotilla) received the new Bal-E mobile coastal missile system (DBK).

The press service of the Southern Military District said that the specialists of the manufacturer of the Scientific and Production Enterprise Kaluga Instrument-Making Plant Typhoon OJSC are now setting up the radar equipment, as well as converting all elements of the control system of the complex into a single network.

Mobile Bal-E DBK with PKR X-35 was developed at the end of 1990-x by request of the Russian Navy.

The BRK was adopted in 2008 year. The officers of the coastal missile division of the CFL in 2011, were trained to manage the new missile system at the manufacturer's special courses.

The “Bal-E” complex includes: a self-propelled command post, a self-propelled launcher, a transport-reloading vehicle and a communication vehicle (a total of 11 special vehicles).

"Bal-E" is capable of hitting targets at any time of day under a variety of weather conditions at a distance of 120 km. The time to bring the complex on alert is 10 min. The power reserve of the mobile coastal missile system is 850 km. Ammunition is 64 missiles, in one salvo can be 32 missiles.

The firepower of the complex can disrupt the combat mission of a large naval strike group, convoy, or airborne detachment of a potential enemy. The main feature of the complex is the possibility of placing in hidden positions launchers at a distance from the coast to 10 km.

From the new complex, the rocket men will have to carry out at least three rocket launches over the next academic year for training surface targets.

bastion identity is not a joke, the Yankees probably already squeezed points)))
the main thing is that our Syrian specialists are trained, that the bastion works in full force!

I’m sure we’ll have time to train, because we had a similar experience under the USSR, we then helped Vietnam.

For the Americans, the Yakhontas pose no threat. The US Navy is able to operate very well at a distance of about 1000 km from the theater of operations, which was shown by the operation in Afghanistan. Yakhonts simply won't get it. Against NK and SSGN with Tomahawks - all the more useless. We still need to solve the target designation problem. Yakhonts will only make life difficult for helicopter carriers (hello to "Mistral") or landing troops without preliminary preparation. They would have a roof from aviation and the CD still, in the form of the C300. But knowing the great ability of the Arabs to fight: they will forget to remove it from the safety lock, leave it and scatter .. Bastion will not help them.

So, for reference: The Bastion strike complex is based on the Yakhont anti-ship supersonic missiles. They are capable of flying in two modes. This is a low-altitude mode, the range of destruction in this mode is 120 kilometers, or a combined flight mode with a range of up to 300 kilometers.

It is important to note that at the final stage of the flight before attacking the target, the rocket flies at a very low altitude - about 10-15 meters - and strikes the target with great speed. Of course, not a single modern ship that exists today is combat capable of intercepting and shooting down this missile.

Rather, Iran has the bottleneck of the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz - 45 km “Bal-E”. will block it tightly, in one gulp

Good performance characteristics! although a rather old development.

So, the hands finally reached the Caspian flotilla. And then everything is like something for later, but for later. But this process will drag on and there will be nothing to protect besides the water in the Caspian.

Considering the average width of the Caspian Sea is about 320 km, this Republic of Kazakhstan is very appropriate for protecting our interests in this region. It would not be bad to place it in the Makhachkala region, to resolve possible disputes regarding the division of the bottom.

Here I look and think: we can do missile systems, we can do planes, ships too, and nifig cars, as it were.

This is of course, but you can’t send everything there, and leave your butt naked!?!
This is one thing. And next, if "peacekeeping forces" are still introduced, and NATO troops are able to break through and destroy the defense of Syria, then we will lose what we supply there. Therefore, it makes no sense to supply advanced developments to another country instead of their own aircraft.

They would have better air cover, but from any commando protection. And then the Pindos at first bombed just such objects, destroyed by special forces - and then they risk ships and people

All this is just wonderful ... But ... who will say why our country began to purchase new weapons so abruptly. I will never believe that someone has changed their minds. I think it smells like kerosene ... (not sense of war, but ...) No.

There are reasons for this: 1 war with Georgia, and 2 the USA which is conducting its revolution here and there, only then radical Islamists come to power and not all those elected by voting, and all this is getting closer and closer to our borders.
