Ukraine has increased the volume of arms supplies to countries in the Asia-Pacific region

The representative of "Ukrspetseksport" in an interview RIA News told that this year Ukraine has increased arms exports to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. The growth of the portfolio of defense orders from the APR countries amounted to 15-20%. The representative of the Ukrainian concern made such a statement, being in Bangkok, where the exhibition is held Defense & Security-2015.
RIA News cites the text of a statement by a Ukrainian defense concern official:
Of course, this year we planned to increase the portfolio of defense orders with the APR countries - today the increase is approximately 15-20%. Basically, the increase in contracts was due to sales of armored vehicles. We continue to work on a number of other projects.
In particular, there is information about ordering armored vehicles from Kiev for the armed forces of Thailand.
What attracts attention is not so much the statement of the representative of Ukrspetsexport, but the fact that he asked the journalists not to give his name. Apparently, the official does not want the radicals in Ukraine to have questions about why Kiev is selling new equipment abroad, while seasoned types continue to arrive in their own troops Tanks and armored personnel carriers after numerous quick repairs.
