Employees of the Ministry of State Security of the LNR reported on the prevention of a series of terrorist acts prepared by the Aydar battalion, reports RIA News.



“As part of the operational-search activities, the staff of the Ministry of State Security of the People’s Republic of LNR prevented a series of large-scale terrorist acts on the territory of the republic, which were planned to be carried out by accomplices of the punitive battalion Aidar,” the department said in a release.

It is reported that "the main objectives of saboteurs were to become the Government House and places of mass gathering of people."

"Earlier, the officers of the Ministry of State Security of the LPR carried out a successful special operation to introduce an agent into the management team of the punitive battalion" Aydar ", as a result of which the organizers and perpetrators of the planned sabotage acts were identified and the contract killings were prevented," the ministry said.

“The main organizer of the sabotage is directly a serviceman of the intelligence unit of the said battalion Gavrilov Valery Valentinovich (he is on forged documents Starchenko Nikolay Ivanovich), - clarified in the MGB. - Being confident that, by his order, the “assassin” blew up the “victim” with a grenade, Gavrilov gave a new task to his, as he thought, agent (in fact, the agent of the Ministry of State Security of LPR) with detailed instructions for preparing and committing a terrorist act in Lugansk in relation to civilians and public authorities ".

According to the press service, "persons involved in the preparation of terrorist acts and identified during the operation on the territory of the LPR, detained."

“In relation to Gavrilov himself, located on the territory controlled by Kiev, and his accomplices, criminal cases were initiated under several articles,” the report says.
