Tigers in Uruguay

18

In May of this year appeared news that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uruguay buys Russian armored vehicles "Tiger". Now there are photos showing that the "Tigers" are indeed at the disposal of the Guardia Metropolitana, a special unit of the Uruguayan police.

Uruguayan media reported that three Tigre armored vehicles (special export version SPM-2) were made available to Guardia Metropolitana. They correspond to the Tigre tested in the BOPE special forces of the Brazilian police. The machine has an increased bulletproof protection, in fact complying with the STANAG 4569 Level 3, protects against rifle bullets of caliber 7.62х51mm and against armor-piercing including. In addition, the car has a booking engine, armored removable ram on "Kengurin" and bars on the windows. The cabin has air conditioning and a screen for external video cameras, giving an 360-degree view for the driver and commander.

Uruguayan media also sounded the price of the contract - three cars cost 840 thousands of dollars. It is worth noting that the Uruguayans are not the first to receive Russian light armored vehicles, they have already received 50 “Vodnikov” for the army. But then Russia was also paying off the Soviet debt - in this case, with “goods” in the form of “Vodnikov”. Now we are talking about "cash".

Earned those who for these machines produced materials, components, assembled, transported machines, as well as an accountant who accrued salaries and an economist who calculated everything. And also suppliers of electric energy and water to the plant, scrap base, which took metal waste and pensioners who received pensions from paid taxes.
Did you have these people in view or did I miss someone?

Judging by the filling and armor, the machine is better than those that our M.O. Probably the build quality is also at the level. And the price by the way is not very high - analogues are more expensive by 50-150 thousand, and not the fact that it is better.

Most likely not, there should be a Cummins B-205. Because the same model was tested by the Brazilians, and their interest in the Tiger is mainly based on the "Cummins" of their own, Brazilian assembly. Uruguay, as a country bordering on Brazil, is also interested in the Brazilian motor.

Personally, pride overwhelms me wink Recently the media reported that the Americans bought our Kordon radar, so we can, we can wink True, for some reason, our Ministry of Internal Affairs did not show interest in them.

"tiger" - HA-VNO !!! A pitiful daddy to copy "Hummer", and that's 25 years later!
In the United States and Europe, cars have long appeared to replace the old man - "Hackmera", and in Rassiyania only now they could only approach their auto industry a quarter century ago.

Well, the pinnacle of Rassian debilism is camouflage in the upholstery wink

In Sochi I saw "Tigers" at the OMON. The impression is created by a very robust machine. I liked the sound of the engine running: the roar and slightly whistle of the turbine like a shunting locomotive.

I saw it live. I will say that I liked it. It visually looks more formidable than a hammer. I drove a hammer. At the beginning of the XNUMXs in the army. Our cat is cooler.
