NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg arrived on a two-day visit to Georgia, during which talks are scheduled with the authorities of the country, as well as the opening of a joint military training center Georgia-NATO.

“We view this visit as part of the preparation for the Warsaw Summit of NATO,” newspaper Tina Khidasheli quoted Georgian Defense Minister as saying. Kommersant.

The minister noted that during the negotiations with Stoltenberg, “the whole range of issues on joining the alliance” will be discussed.

In addition, the NATO Secretary General will visit Krtsanisi, where the opening ceremony of the Georgia-NATO military training center will be held, the agreement on the creation of which was signed in 2014 during the Alliance summit in Wales. Earlier, the former adviser to the Georgian prime minister, Georgy Khukhashvili, said thathistorical an event guaranteeing Georgia a place in the Euro-Atlantic security system. ”

The opening of the new military center was commented on by a number of experts.

“In the military-political sense, this object means little. Thus, NATO is trying to “sweeten” Georgia not only the past, but also the future refusal to provide MAP, ”said GHN analyst Nika Imnaishvili.

Former head of the Georgian State Security Service, Irakli Batiashvili, on the contrary, called it “a great achievement for Georgia,” stressing that “a training center and military base are only one step away.”

Most likely the target will be depicted on the emblem of this center, because if it is near Tbilisi, then our artel from South Ossetia will calmly shoot it, and if it is west - from Abkhazia. Probably it will be exciting for them to know that the barrel of our guns is constantly looking at them.

The educational center. Yeah. How many such centers in history have been ... And how many of their fosterlings have received a legitimate bullet from our counterintelligence. But the bites still do not want to live normally. What kind of country? It’s absolutely vital for them to lay down under someone, and preferably under someone to whom they are no more valuable than a rag. Masochists.

What is there another step separating? Great from the ridiculous, love from hate ... So in the place of the grzuns, I would not be particularly deceived about the NATO base.

"The training center and the military base are only one step away."

The main thing is to start, and there will be a continuation. But Georgia didn’t teach anything in 08. Sometimes a thought begins to throb - maybe in 2008 you had to go to Tbilisi?

I remember that the previous training of the Georgian military by NATO members improved only one of their skills - fast flight.

For the unlearned lesson "8.08.08" a deuce with a minus! Do they really want to repeat the material they have covered? It looks like it.

Why don't we open a training base in Mexico?
