“The main feature of the section is a large number of collected illustrations and videos, telling about the stages of formation and development of the Airborne Forces, their participation in the Great Patriotic War, local conflicts of the postwar period, as well as in large-scale exercises,” the press service explained.
The main page of the section contains an interactive map with locations of airborne forces.
According to the message, “in the“ Virtual Excursions ”you can see the regular places of the crews of airborne combat vehicles, anyone can be in the place of the commander of the BMD-2 or the gunner-operator of the newest BMD-4M, feel like a member of the crew of the Nona self-propelled artillery gun, driver of the Sprut-SD self-propelled anti-tank gun, gunner of the Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system, or paratrooper in the BTR-MDM Rakushka armored personnel carrier ”.
