Russia turns to the machine
One unpleasant restriction is peculiar to economic journalism: econometric parameters are a rather abstract thing, which is very difficult to “touch with hands”, but the desire to “touch and see” is peculiar to both the author and the reader. The “visual effect” is often more impressive than dry statistical calculations. It is precisely because of this, by the way, that Obama's speechwriters inserted into his speech the famous wording about "the Russian economy torn to shreds." The effect of visibility taxis, often even when it is weakly intersected with reality.
Right now in Russia there is one place in which you can touch and see with your own eyes the present and future of the Russian economy - this is Innoprom-2015 in Yekaterinburg. For example, by visiting one of the more 100 business sessions with foreign industrial companies that came to the exhibition, you can personally evaluate the realism of liberal media statements about complete, final and unconditional isolation of Russia.
Visiting the exhibition can help those who still live under the impression of the well-known liberal myth that "Russia does not produce anything, but only pumps oil." Of course, one can cite statistics that in the structure of Russian GDP, oil production is far from dominant, but the Russian helicopters seen, thought-driven exoskeletons or medical 3D printers are much more obvious. This does not mean that everything is fine and there are no problems, but it shows that rumors about the death of Russian industry and design ideas are somewhat exaggerated.
Ekaterinburg Innoprom shows that Russia is once again at the stage of accelerated modernization with the involvement of foreign technologies. Apparently, in each of our historical cycle there should be a period in which our country focuses, “turns to the machine”, attracts technology from the outside, and then makes a qualitative leap forward. Such periods were in the era of the Empire, and in the era of the USSR, and now we are seeing a similar stage in the development of modern Russia.
Innoprom is not only and not so much an exhibition as a platform on which negotiations are held, cooperation agreements are concluded and important statements are made. For example, according to statements by the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, one can judge what the state apparatus is doing day after day so that Russian industry can develop:
1. UralVagonZavod receive state guarantees for 20 billion rublesthat will allow you to get under them the cheapest bank loans;
2. The ministry has prepared and is pushing through a government directive which, by analogy with the enterprises of the military industrial complex, will prohibit state monopolies from buying foreign equipment in the presence of domestic counterparts;
3. The Minister predicts a growth in trade with China to 200 billions of dollars a year by 2020. By the way, China is a strategic partner of Innoprom-2015, and Chinese pavilion was opened by Denis Manturov and Vice Premier of the State Council of China Wang Yang.
Not without light trolling. Apparently, the art of trolling becomes an important skill for Russian top officials, just as once versification was obligatory for Chinese imperial officials. The Russian minister, speaking at the Innoprom plenary meeting, which was attended by numerous representatives of European companies, said: "Our colleagues from America so" helped "colleagues from Europe. They (the United States, - ed.) Trade increased by 12%, and in European countries fell by 9%. "
I want to draw your attention to several exhibits, which, from my point of view, are significant. It is especially pleasant that all of them, in one way or another, came into being thanks to the actions of our state, which revives and develops the Russian industry through the state corporation Rostec.
1. New space suit.
The Orlan suit, developed by the Technodinamika holding of the Rostec State Corporation, is another clear proof that # KosmosNash, despite all the temporary difficulties of the Russian space industry. Our spacesuit is lighter, safer and even more comfortable than American analogs..
2. Monoblock Tavolga.
The product of the joint work of the companies T-Platforms and United Instrument-Making Corporation (also owned by Rostec) is interesting because it is entirely Russian design. Creators of a monoblock computer declarethat all (!) circuit design and mechanical solutions of the product have been developed in Russia and that in the future Russia will also have its production.
Yes, it is impossible to launch the latest generation games on this monoblock, but there are definitely no “bookmarks” from our Western friends and partners. Every time when a Tavolga monoblock is delivered to a Russian company or to a secure facility, an NSA analyst who has been out of work will cry somewhere in California.
3. Lada Vesta.
AvtoVAZ brought its new development to Innoprom. This car is proof that international technical cooperation can really be mutually beneficial. It should be noted that without the protectionist measures imposed by the Russian government, despite the protests of that part of the public for which "Togliatti is a damned place", this car would simply not exist. Without healthy protectionism, there is no growth in industry, this has been repeatedly proven. Liberals accuse the government of the fact that the protective duties of “the name of AvtoVAZ” simply protect an inefficient company, in which the state, through the state corporation Rostec, has a share of ownership. But in fact, the state protects the future of the Russian car industry. This future can be seen today in Yekaterinburg. Agree, the future turned out very beautiful.
4. The brain-computer interface.
A few years ago, Runet looked with envy at the successes of American and Japanese scientists and engineers who managed to “make friends” with the human nervous system and electromechanical prostheses. The world boldly walked towards the epoch of cyborgs and combining the capabilities of man and machine, while Russia seemed hopelessly lagging behind. All the more pleasant today to see the Russian man-machine interfaces. On Innoprom This interface was presented by United Instrument Engineering Corporation:
OPK presented a brain-computer neurointerface at the Innoprom-2015 exhibition, which allows electronic and mechatronic devices to be controlled with the power of thought. The technology opens up new possibilities for medicine in the field of prosthetics and rehabilitation of people with various motor disabilities, as well as for the development of Russian robotics whole. "
All the above examples are in some way or another the brainchild of Rostec, a Russian state-owned company that has proven in practice that the state can be a very effective manager, combining economic efficiency, social responsibility and the constant need for technological growth. This is a wonderful experience of overcoming the myths and devastation of 90, and devastation is mostly in the head.
I already wrote that the special Russian economic way - It is a synthesis of an effective state and an efficient market, taking into account the merits and mistakes of our past and our competitors.
It is nice to see concrete manifestations of the effectiveness of this approach at Innoprom.
As an emotional point, I would like to mention the beautiful and very significant gesture of Rostec. A special exhibition of the achievements of Soviet industrial design was brought to the exhibition of industrial innovations in Yekaterinburg.
We learn to be proud of the past, to work effectively and to look to the future with hope. Russia turns to the machine, and it will all turn out well.
