Things are good. Here are just a material base - teaching aids and simulators would not hurt to update. New equipment is supplied to the Airborne Forces, and in the training class of the BMD-1 in "cut". Future officers of the winged guard need to be taught and trained on the equipment that they will operate in the troops.
    I have the honor.

To change the BMD in the class, I think it will be problematic, how did they even drag it there? =)

Entered in 1969. He failed the exams, but was accepted as an urgent service eagle conditionally (as a particularly die-hard fan of these troops). In those days, there were also such formulations. The reason for the blockage in exams is studying at night school and, accordingly, poor knowledge. But the main thing is that in 69 there was a change in the specialization of education. If you previously received a diploma of an interpreter-assistant, i.e. emphasis on foreign languages, then from that year they began to train in the specialty "engineer for the operation of armored vehicles." And that means mathematics, physics. I should have known in advance, but I was preparing to pass history, German from the troops ... I was literate - I read a lot. Thus, he did not pass all the exact wisdom at the first session - and was kicked out, as agreed. Good uncles taught on the way to the unit to turn to Moscow to the headquarters of the Airborne Forces, in the morning in the bushes to wait for V.F. Margelov and ask him for intercession (this also happened then). And so he did. Adjutant Margelov with two pistols on his belt pretended to shoot me. But Margelov called me over to him, kindly listened to my screams, treated me to a "Friend" cigarette (there was such a brand) ... "Son, go to the unit, serve, next year ..", and so on. I went to the division, rose to the rank of "foreman" and the position of the commander of the 3rd platoon. Again, no luck, because while I was in quarantine with young recruits, they forgot to send me to the divisional school of platoon commanders ("junior lieutenants"). They offered to remain a super-conscript. Offended, he went to civilian life and from there he entered the school, but not the Airborne Forces. Here is such a curly path to the officer's shoulder straps. By the way, in the photo with the name "School Platz" you can see a three-story building, in my time there was a barracks for applicants. There I saw the late Pavel Grachev, then the chief of the company. I remember the fact that as an elk ran up the stairs, solving some "petty" household issues before leaving for vacation or already on vacation.

You could well write an article about your admission.
I think that many would read with interest, especially the younger generation, those who are studying / entering now or studying after the 90s, that is, already in a new, so to speak, century.
