Tank T-72B3 during a river crossing exercise

24
The T-72B3 is the Russian main battle tank of the T-72 family. The modification was developed as a cheap alternative to the T-90A before being received by the Russian army tanks new generation.

It is a relatively simple upgrade of the T-72B tank.

Doubtless! I’m only afraid that these photos will show on Ukrainian media, with comments that they are Russians in the Donbass ...

These are the problems of UkroSMI. We all know that no T-72B3 is supplied to the Donbass; accordingly, they cannot be there. And there are Russians there, and on both sides of the undeclared war. And the photos are really very good.

But I would not say so, I remember there was such a video on YouTube (last summer) with a "stupid" name, there you will not understand who "squeezed" it from whom, but the fact that "he" is a T-72b3 is shown very accurately http : //www.youtube.com/watch? v = _1xV90YAOUs

It’s interesting, I remember reading about active defense systems against anti-tank grenade launchers and guided missiles, the first model was called the thrush, then it was like a curtain. How is the B3 modification fundamentally different from the previous ones, if we talk about hand grenade launchers and ATGMs, what are the chances of this tank against them?

"I had such an extremely exciting summer." So the guys shown in very good photographs will be able to write in letters.

And further. An article about combat training, and not about bald patches on a tower in dynamic defense. What weapons the Motherland handed, so serve and be able to use it fully.

This is according to the principle "Motherland has given, now let him laugh!" Not a good principle. I would like it to be the best and not what they gave in order to turn around.

the tank is not the most modern But it’s obt and on the battlefield it shows itself very well in Syria, for example, but if the war is high-tech then any tank will not live on the battlefield for more than 10 minutes, taking into account the development of modern means of fighting against armored vehicles .

Another principle. There will not be enough "Armat" for all, and somewhere they will be redundant, but they count on you for 72BZ too - so be prepared.

Tank for the poor. That is, for us. Even "Algeria" and "Vietnam" are not being used to such garbage.

A very different T-90 from this modification? If memory serves, then modernization of the T-72 began to be done instead of the T-90 due to the exorbitantly high price.

T-90 Vladimir is the Russian main battle tank. It was created in the late 1980s and early 1990s as a deep modernization of the T-72B tank under the name "Advanced T-72B", but in 1992 it was adopted under the T-90 index

Well, it’s understandable, but apart from the sky-high price, the better the T-90?

Yes, the same thing. You just need to do the T-90 from scratch. And modernization: take the old T-72, conjure a little and voila - almost the T-90. Modernizing an existing tank is cheaper than building a new one, so the price comparison is not entirely correct.

At first glance, looking at the photo, without knowing this machine, I can note an improved sighting system (the absence of an IR illuminator "Luna"), possibly a thermal imaging system. At the same time, the commander has an old TKN with an IR illuminator and does not have the ability to duplicate the gunner (not good). Only the lazy did not write about the dynamic defense of the tower.

Thank you very much. Honestly, as a practice, it is equally called and where to find the instruction manual. Any tanker will master the SUV of a new tank without even having a clue about TSAP ("tank automatic control systems" is one of the disciplines studied in tank engineering schools, now there is a branch in Omsk .... that I do not know in Kiev.), Graduates of OVTIU, KVTIU understand.

It differs greatly, but the T90 comes in different configurations, the main differences in the tank filling (sight, thermal imager, kaz)

So, over the years of independence, Ukraine sold all these tanks "to the left" (and there were a lot of them)? and buyers found? only T-64 remained in Ukraine (not the most successful tanks)

Because the only manufacturer of the T-64 is KhTZ. Kharkov Tank School trained tankers on the T-64.

At one time I served in a motorized rifle regiment. where the tank battalion was armed with T-72 tanks of the first modifications. The opinion of the tankers and my personal one is that it is a good car, much better than the T-64B1, on which I served in the YUGV, at least from the point of view of operation. My opinion: while new tanks of the Armata type are put into production, the tanks currently in service, including the modernized T-72, will still serve. And in the future, as new equipment arrives, these modernized tanks can serve in secondary theaters of theater to contain a potential enemy.
    I have the honor!

will serve if KAZ is installed on all available ones. If not, in the case of kneading - cannon fodder.

I wonder where it happened? like summer, greenery, and all dressed in winter. Tanks can only be seen driven off the platforms. On each center of gravity is indicated.

It seems to me that not everything is decided by the TTD by a specific modification of the combat vehicle. Based on the average duration of the combat use of armored vehicles on the battlefield (lifetime), their quantity becomes an important indicator. And the current and current ideas of G. Guderian will allow, relying on this indicator, the planning and realization of the potential of the RF Armed Forces in the event of a direct military clash with NATO.

    Everyday military studies. Preved, colleagues!
Very nice, thanks for the photo story.
Good car, simple and reliable. At UGVTKU T-72A was the main training machine in 1987.
