Another protest in Kiev was organized by Ukrainian miners. This time they managed to break through the ring of a cordon to the building of the presidential administration. More than a hundred policemen and representatives of the so-called National Guard were in the cordon. According to the most conservative estimates, about 2 thousand miners from several regions of the country are expressing dissatisfaction with the economic policy in the coal industry.
Ukrainian resource Zn.ua writes that the miners are protesting in a way that was previously used repeatedly - knocking helmets on the pavement. At the same time, UkroSMI adds that the miners "behave aggressively."
On April 21, the next meeting of Ukrainian miners was held, at which it was decided to initiate the resignation of the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, Demchyshyn. The Minister, by the way, was present at the congress, but the delegates gathered at the congress took it very negatively and booed right in the hall. Today, during the rally, one of the demands of the miners is the resignation of Demchishin, who cannot ensure the normal operation of the coal mining industry. Recall that the official Kiev has not yet abandoned the idea of purchasing coal in Australia, South Africa and Poland.
