“After the launch of this block of three Gonets-M spacecraft, the grouping will consist of the Gonets-M 12 satellites and one Gonets-D1 satellites.” So for the first time history of creating the Gonets system, the staffing level of the orbital group has been reached, ”said Bakanov. “The devices were taken on control as soon as the marker signal was received.”

The head of the company explained that “in addition to the orbital grouping, the system components are the ground infrastructure and the ground facilities of consumers, therefore, it is important to understand the algorithm for commissioning the Gonets system as a whole”.
“If commissioning of the orbital constellation into trial operation is planned before the end of 2015 of the year, then the completion of the ground infrastructure development activities is at the beginning of 2016 of the year. After that, the company will begin putting the Gonets system into full-time operation, ”he added.
To maintain the orbital grouping in the reserve there are two more satellites. In addition, Roscosmos contracted to manufacture 7-mi additional devices to be able to support satellite constellation up to 2024.
