Saudi Arabian air force attacked the Yemeni capital of Sanah, controlled by the Hussite rebels

During the attack, most of the air defense objects belonging to extremists were also destroyed.

According to media reports, the targets of the air operation were government offices and Sana'a International Airport. Channel source said that "the specific goal was the Al-Dilmi air force base, in whose territory the 4 of the aircraft was destroyed."

It is reported about two dozen dead and 30-ti injured.

The agency explains that an international operation is currently taking place in Yemen, in which, at the request of the Yemeni President Mansur Hadi, the countries of the Persian Gulf took part. The purpose of the operation is to protect legally the authorities from the Houthit militants.

And who called them that ... Was it for what? laughing

Well, as for the general military operations in the East, there, as a rule, the local population gets hit by air strikes, but when did the US stop it?

An international operation is taking place in Yemen now ... The purpose of the operation is to protect the legitimate authorities from Hussite militants.

Kohl in Ukraine, the United States defended the Bendera militants, in Syria, Muslim militants, they must, at a minimum, immediately impose sanctions on the Saudis. Barack does not tolerate double standards! stop

the Saudis must be given pork hara with all their might, they bombed a foreign state and, most importantly, under the motives
The purpose of the operation is to protect the legitimate authorities from the Hussite militants.
, under the very motives that give Assad the right to bomb Saudi Arabia completely.
and for some reason, bandits in Syria have insurgents, and those who sharply become bandits and terrorists against them.

Once again, it becomes clear that the unification of the Sunni southern Yemen (pro-Soviet NDRY) and the Shiite northern Yemen (the former kingdom of Yemen, then YAR) in May 1990 was a fatal mistake. For the Ymen massacre has not stopped since 1984.

At the moment, Yemen is bombed up to 200-hundred coalition aircraft, up to 150-thousand bayonets are ready for the invasion. A scuffle is planned, the Shiites will have a hard time, they are fighting in Syria, Iraq, now Yemen, if Israel burns Lebanon, it will be a complete set. This is just what Israel really needs, and apparently it was he who, using his connections with the Wahhabis of Saudi Arabia and other fanatical terrorists, organized this provocation.
And that this is a provocation, I fully admit, Saudi Arabia, like its "accomplices", has no real strength to carry out an invasion of Yemen (well, maybe with the exception of Egypt).
So this war is extremely beneficial to Israel and disadvantageous to Russia.

          Parties to the conflict
          Howsites, or Helpers of God

In 1992, Hussein Al-Khawshi founded the Zeydite organization (Zeidites - adherents of one of the Shiite movements) Al-Shabab al-mumin ("Orthodox youth") with the goal of "reviving Zeidism" in Yemen, where most of the Sunni population. In 2004, his Howsite followers raised an anti-government rebellion, accusing the country's authorities of discrimination against the Shiite population. Hussein al-Khawshi was killed on September 10, 2004. The clashes continued until February 2010, when a ceasefire was signed. The combat wing of the movement is considered to be the Ansar Allah group (God's Helpers), which is fighting the regime of President Abd Rabbah Mansur Hadi.

          President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi

Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi was elected President of Yemen on February 21, 2012 in a two-year early election after the overthrow of his predecessor, Ali Abdullah Saleh, whose supporters are also involved in the conflict on the side of the Howsites. He enjoys the support of part of the army and security services, as well as Saudi Arabia.

          Ali Abdullah Saleh

Ali Abdullah Saleh - President of Yemen from 1994 to 2012. He was removed from office during the unrest. Having been wounded during the shelling of the presidential palace, he fled to Saudi Arabia. In 2012, he resigned in exchange for immunity from prosecution and transferred power to Abd Rabb Mansour Hadi.

Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula

Al Qaeda on the Arabian Peninsula. He is not directly involved in the conflict, but has claimed responsibility for the many bloody attacks against the Yemeni security forces. Recently announced its accession to the Islamic State group. According to the Arab media, the oath of allegiance to the leader of this group, Al-Baghdadi, was a response to the seizure of power in Yemen by the Howsites. The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the bombing of mosques in the capital of Yemen, which led to the deaths of more than 150 people.

          Not only internal conflict

Howsites are supported by Iran. Supporters of President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi are supported by Saudi Arabia, which has pulled large military forces to the border of Yemen. Thus, Yemen, literally, can become a battlefield for influential regional leaders.

Until recently, the Sunnis and Shiites in Yemen coexisted quite peacefully. Military conflict can lead to bloody interfaith violence.

The conflict in Yemen, located on the northern coast of the Bab el Strait of Mandeb, can have a very negative effect on world trade. Every day, 3,5 million barrels of oil and goods worth millions of dollars are transported through the strait linking Europe, East and South Asia, as well as Australia.

Media: Shiite rebels seized secret archive with US CIA documents in Yemen

The secret documents of the Yemeni security service, containing detailed information about intelligence operations conducted by the United States in the south of the Arabian Peninsula, fell into the hands of Shiite rebels. This was reported on Wednesday by the Los Angeles Times.

“The documents featured the names of agents and informants, as well as plans for conducting anti-terrorist operations,” the publication emphasizes, citing unnamed sources in the US intelligence agencies. “The United States intelligence network in Yemen has been hit hard.”

According to information at the disposal of the newspaper, the secret archive was seized last September, when Shiite rebels (Howsites) operating in Yemen seized the headquarters of the National Security Bureau in the country's capital Sana'a. "Bureau officials managed to burn some of the documents, but the rest of the paper fell into the hands of the rebels," the newspaper quoted a US intelligence official. According to him, subsequently the secret archive was betrayed to Iran.

The damage was so serious that the United States was forced to cease operations involving unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the sky of Yemen for two months, as well as to evacuate part of the staff of its embassy and other missions from this country on the Arabian Peninsula, the newspaper reports.

I just read in 3mv.ru that the Egyptian and Iranian Navy took a bite in the Gulf of Aden, for the time being with warning shots. So that it won’t work out between each other, it will directly affect the conflict in Syria and Iraq, and this is already a vital sphere of influence of Russia, in which mattress mats have burned Ukraine near by, are dug in the Baltic states and are already beginning to invade the fifth-pillars of Belarus. And if Iran and the Saudis have a snack directly, the situation will get out of control and this will be felt throughout the world. Mattresses sit across the ocean, therefore, without fear and poison peoples both here and in the Middle East.

I would, in the place of Iran, send air defense and MLRS to Yemen, so that the Saudis would fill up in full, well, and certainly a bunch of mines, because the Saudi’s army is well equipped and plentiful, therefore mining of borders, air defense ambushes and total shelling of the Saudis by Yemen in response to every raid.

Codename Ground Operations "Storm of Determination" started in Yemen 10 Gulf countries. Participating in it: Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and other states of the region. The purpose of the operation is to protect the legitimate authority of Yemen from the Shiite rebels - Hussites.
The name of the operation was clearly not invented in Riyadh.
Al-Arabi TV channel reports that Saudi Arabia is sending 100 combat aircraft and 150 troops to participate in this operation. In addition, the air forces of Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Sudan, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain joined the operation. And Egypt, Pakistan, Jordan, Sudan said they were ready to send their ground forces to Yemen, so, of course, the forces are large enough
Sunni united front. And Iran, which will not leave its without help.

The Yemenis will be able to close the Bab al-Mandeb Strait in "one movement." After that, oil from Saudi Arabia will not go anywhere. What this can lead to - only Allah and the leaders of the rebels know. (and possibly the Persians).

By the way, this reason is very remarkable:
The president, who shoved Salleh (Yemen’s father as a state), fled to Aden, and when the Hutsists surrounded Aden and the army fell apart, he was unclear how (either in a woman’s dress or under a rug in the trunk) he was taken to a village by the sea and there saved unknown boat. After that, he was transferred to a meeting of the League of Arab Nations, where he did official request for military assistance and the introduction of League forces into Yemen, to restore constitutional order and suppress the rebellion.

Now in the Coalition, in addition to the Saudis, the UAE, Bahrain and Kuwait:
Qatar - which is unexpected, or is it a common enemy that made us forget the enmity.
Egypt - fulfills Saudi money, the Air Force, the Navy (they give it a sector for blocking Yemen from the sea) and the ground forces (while they talk about the battalion in readiness).
Pakistan - unexpectedly, but it is participating, though only the Navy is in the naval blockade of Yemen. Perhaps the Air Force will help.
    Jordan - 6 F-16 and staff.

Night raids were characterized by mass, at the moment from 65 to 100 people (mostly civilians) have died.

Now preparations are underway for the second stage - the buildup of forces, a complete blockade and massive troop deployment. Around 100k with heavy equipment is assembled for these purposes.

In contrast to the Saudi companies of previous years, when they solved problems by the forces of the 1 battalion and all sorts of personal guards of princes, striving to increase their chances and write a heroic story in a biography. This time, everything is serious and direct from the very top, not from Riyadh, but from a pentagonal house in one distant country.

At the moment, the government forces are completely defeated (on the map in red), the Islamists have somewhat strengthened (black) and the Husits have even exceeded their plan for the Zeydite emirate within +/- until the 1990 of the year (green). Also, the Salleh movement appeared, come back, we all forgive - it’s yellow, and Salleh until recently had suddenly supported the Husists, although they fought with them from the 1990 of the year before being thrown off the throne.

However, a massive external invasion, given the fact that Iran will not be able to help (naval blockade), will lead to military defeat, especially in the lowland areas and at least be driven back to the Mountains as during Salleh in the 2000's.

However, Iran’s reaction is unclear. Suleimani stood behind the Hussites (it was he who carried out a brilliant operation to capture Sana'a and in fact a decisive turning point in the war). Now Suleymani is in Tikrit, along with all military experts and foreign police at the front with the IS. Iran simply will not be able to drag out another war, and even without direct communication. However, merging Shiites is also unacceptable to Iran.

According to official figures, 25 million units of weapons for 60-million Yemen. And not only small, but also large-caliber / anti-tank, etc.

I think that the Saudis can not do without direct ground intervention to solve their problems.
But the result will not be better than that of the Americans with the introduction of troops in Somalia.
By the way, the Saudis already have experience of trying to enter Yemen. The result was extremely sad - they were completely defeated by the Houthis. Then the government of Saudi Arabia had to redeem its captured "woe warriors" lol

Only then was there an extremely limited goal - a buffer zone, on one mountainous section of the border. With the participation of parts of the mining infantry baht, the local SOBR Ministry of Internal Affairs and parts of the border guards. Moreover, the initiative originally came from a prince who wanted to triumphantly solve the problem of Shiite infiltration with weapons and increase his chances in power.

Then, when they started to be beaten, they started throwing a hundred or two reinforcements without any plans. Well, then I had to leave. When the losses were overwhelming, and the YouTube was filled with fresh Thanks from the Husists on brand new armored vehicles with drawers of weapons and different thermal imagers.

Saudi Arabia and its allies among the Gulf countries launched a military operation in Yemen, where the offensive of Shiite al-Husi tribesmen associated with Iran continues.

Al-Arabiya TV channel reports that Saudi Arabia is sending 100 combat aircraft and 150 thousand troops to participate in this operation. In addition, the air forces of the United Arab Emirates (30 aircraft), Bahrain (15 aircraft), Kuwait (15 aircraft), Qatar (10 aircraft), Jordan (6 aircraft), Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Sudan and Egypt. At the same time, Egypt, Pakistan, Jordan and Sudan announced that they are ready to send their ground forces to Yemen.

On Thursday morning, there were reports that pro-government forces regained control of the international airport in Aden, Yemen.

The coalition "has decided to respond to President Hadi's call to protect Yemen and its people from aggression from Houthi militants," AFP news agency quoted Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar as saying.

According to Saudi ambassador to the United States Adele al-Jubeyr, the coalition includes 10 countries. At this stage, the Allies will launch air strikes, the BBC news service reported.

Earlier, Reuters, citing sources in the US administration, reported that Saudi Arabia began to deploy troops to the south of the country, tanks and heavy artillery were being pulled to the border with Yemen.
