The submarine "Stary Oskol" was launched to the factory running tests. This is reported by the press service of the enterprise "Admiralty Shipyards"." Stary Oskol "is the third submarine of project 636.3" Varshavyanka ". The boat was built by order of the Ministry of Defense for the Black Sea fleet RF.
Factory testing of the new submarine will be conducted on the Baltic Sea. The duration of the tests according to the plan should be about three weeks, after which the results of the tests will be summed up on the basis of the analysis of experts. This summer will be part of the Black Sea Fleet submarine "Stary Oskol".
For reference: Varshavyanka submarines are multi-purpose diesel-electric submarines. A distinctive feature of the submarines of this project - the minimum noise. In total, six such submarines have been ordered for the Russian Black Sea Fleet. The submarines Novorossiysk and Rostov-on-Don have already become part of the fleet. The submarine "Krasnodar" is being built at the enterprise "Admiralty Shipyards". The submarine “Veliky Novgorod” and “Kolpino” were laid down in October last year.
