Banker sells Latvia to Russia

49
People of the middle and older generations remember well that, despite the advertised unity of the Soviet peoples, some of the Republic of the USSR were somewhat "more equal" than others. These special territories included the current Baltic countries. If it was necessary to show the life of Soviet citizens, a picture from Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania was shown to foreign correspondents. Indeed, these Republics were the most genuine Soviet storefront, which was a pleasure to show. The Soviet government directed enormous capital for the development of this region, and in fact it was actively developing.

However, troubled times came - the end of 80-x - when suddenly the inhabitants of the RSFSR, and later the whole world, learned that, it turns out, the “vile” Russians have “oppressed” the freedom-loving Baltic people for more than half a century. In Lithuania, a whole movement arose that required only one thing - to expel all Russians from this country. In this case, it came even to the point that the Soviet officers and their families were literally hunted. In general, the "occupiers" were, as the inhabitants of the once fraternal republics themselves thought, expelled forever. Three “girlfriend” countries decided that the only salvation from the “barbarian” neighbor could be membership in the European Union and NATO. And the decision of European politicians was not long in coming. Quickly having concocted all the necessary documents, the Baltic states instantly found themselves under the “warm wing” of an old European woman. At first, only the lazy did not sympathize with the former Soviet Republics.

The European Parliament actively supported all the pro-Nazi decisions of the governments of Estonia and Latvia. On the territory of these states, by the way, the only ones of this kind, so-called “non-citizens” appeared - people whose ancestors did not live in the Baltic until 1940. Such people began to receive special documents that confirmed that the “negro” (non-citizen), although living in Latvia or Estonia, does not have, in fact, any rights. Surprisingly, people of the new status actually became third-class people in these states. It is clear that the overwhelming majority of the “blacks” were among the Russians.

But as time went on, political forces changed and, most negatively for the Baltic countries, the economic situation. At first (after joining the EU), the Balts really, as they say, felt the difference. The abundance of goods, open borders with the European Union, the circulation of a single, entry into the WTO, subsidies from Europe - in general, everything that, as the Latvians themselves, Estonians and Lithuanians claimed, only dreamed of. In addition, a common European currency began to circulate in Estonia - the euro. Latvia and Lithuania were already waiting for their turn to join the eurozone. But…

The situation gradually approached 2009, when the world was shaken by the global financial crisis. The Baltic banking system, in essence, was simply crushed. Many enterprises had to be stopped because their products on the foreign market ceased to be competitive. In addition, energy prices, supplied mainly from Russia, reached prices at which any attempts to reanimate the Baltic market were doomed to a complete fiasco. And from the side of the new Baltic friends in the person of Germany, France and other representatives of the European Union, the words were heard that the Baltic countries could be an unbearable burden for the new European economy. Not so active, the IMF began to lend money to the same Latvia. Reduced supply of goods not only to other EU countries, but also to Russia. On sprats and Riga Balsam alone you will not get far ...
And against such a background, a well-known Latvian financier, Girts Rungainis, in a recent interview, suddenly said that it would be impossible for the Latvian economy to survive in the same direction in the same direction. His lips were spoken words that slashed at the very sore point of each Balts, which is the organ of Russophobia. These words were similar to the following: Rungainis literally offers to sell Latvia to Russia.

The banker explains this by the fact that without the support of Europe and without IMF loans, a real collapse awaits the Latvian economy. Already today, this country is in debt with amounts amounting to many billions of dollars, and there are no funds in the state budget not only to pay bills issued by new “friends”, but also to continue social policy in the country. The same Rungainis says that Latvia may have to refuse to pay pensions. For a country that considers itself a democratic state of law, this is a real disaster. That is why the financier assesses the value of his country in total at 20 billions of dollars, which Russia can pay.

These words were a real shock not only for Latvia, but also for the 2-s of the other Baltic Republics. After all, if you believe the logic of Mr. Rungainis, then the only salvation for the entire Baltic region will be the voluntary “sale” of all of its potentials to Russia.

Of course, Rungainis then tried to state that he was not completely understood. He supposedly wanted to say that the main “helpers” for the economy of Latvia are the European Union and the IMF. And he said about Russia, ostensibly, having got upset. But the word, as we know, is not a sparrow, therefore, the tirade about selling Latvia to Russians was remembered ...

By the way, if we talk about the words of Rungainis, they are not without meaning. Already, Latvia is plunging into the most genuine financial and demographic funnel. The results of the last census in the country are not even spoken, since, most likely, according to these results, the country's population has declined by more than 700000 people in recent years. This is due not only to the low birth rate, but also to the fact that many people leave the country, including Russia. Some way to rectify the situation is not yet possible, and is unlikely to succeed. Why? Because the entire post-Soviet euphoria has already ended, the marches of the veterans of the fascist battalions, looking in the eyes of the Europeans, are somewhat absurd, and the European gratuitous financing as in the good old Soviet times (from Moscow naturally) is out of the question. Europe is already beginning to look at many EU members from Eastern Europe as a kind of post-Soviet ballast that can pull the economy of the whole European Union into the abyss.

Or maybe Balts really listen to the words of Rungainis before it's too late? ..

The lack of pensions for the elderly and disabled in the state is undoubtedly one of the first signs of true democracy.

Why buy something that already belongs to Russia, all these lands are the property of our state, so the Swedes sold this land to Peter1, let them flee to Europe, they need prostitutes and dishwashers. with their "high-speed" thinking, the Balts claim to be "top positions" in the EU

Why do we need this Chukhonia with its collapse? Have we been hired to restore something that they themselves collapsed, and even with spitting in our faces? And the land is not so hot there - not Ukrainian black earth. Unless the seaside - so you can go there without buying the whole country. We do not need this ballast. Although ... now, if there was to put something like the NKVD sample of the year that way on the 46th ... To send the former to the camps and the pillars ... Dreams ...

Uhalus, it is a matter of geopolitical influence, not utilitarian advantages or disadvantages. The lands surrounding Russia should not be a source of anti-Russian seedlings, at least. And as a maximum - like-minded people, although this is sometimes unattainable.

You can buy Latvia - these are ice-free ports in the Baltic, BUT !!! with one indispensable condition, all Latvians who will not "jump off" in the EU from this perspective should be evicted from this territory and resettled in the vastness of the Russian Federation (without losing the rights of citizens of the Russian Federation), but EVENT !!! So that the nest of separatism and nationalism was destroyed !!! 20 years of humiliation of Russians must not go unpunished.

Well, it happened on a binge, they will break through the Russians-invaders, but without malice. In general, what can I say, there is a population there, as in not the largest region of the Russian Federation, and even non-citizens are full.

in Estonia and Lithuania, moreover, the economic situation is much better than Latvia.

Tartaria or Great Tartaria (Latin Tataria, Tataria Magna; English Tartary, Great Tartary, sometimes Grand Tartary; French Tartarie) is a term used in Western European literature during the Middle Ages and up to the 1th century [2], presumably to designate the Great steppes - the vast territories that once belonged to the Golden Horde [XNUMX] between Europe, Siberia, the Caspian Sea, the Aral Sea, the Ural Mountains and China.

The names “Tatars” or “Tartars” were used to designate the inhabitants of Great Tartaria, regardless of their origin, language and religious affiliation. The territory, understood by Europeans as “Tartaria” at different times included the modern Volga region, the Urals, Siberia, Kazakhstan, Turkestan ( including East Turkestan), Mongolia, Manchuria, partially Tibet.

When the domestic economy, the ability to compete, "domestic production" (in any country), industry, AND MILITARY POWER die, the country and the nation begins to perish .. I hope this will not happen with Russia in the end.
It is scary when people ask in the eye, get an answer in the eye, and then a wall of silence.
Latvians probably felt it, but Russians are used to it ..
