The extremist group "Boko Haram" continues to increase its superiority in the north of Nigeria. Most areas of the northern part of the country are not controlled by the authorities. By gaining control over the localities of the state, the militants act by barbaric methods, either by destroying the local population, or by reorienting it, under the threat of death, to go over to the side of Boko Haram.
According to TASS, the militants have already destroyed 16 settlements, which include the city of Baga - a large trading village that was seized by the militants a few days ago. The city was the military base of the combined forces of the African Union, but the military left it, leaving the city to plunder the militants "Boko Haram". The victims of the attack in the city were at least hundreds of people. No one can name the total number of dead and injured during the attacks of extremists in Nigeria, since world news agencies can only refer to representatives of the Nigerian authorities who themselves are not aware of the real situation unfolding in the north of the country.
Tens of thousands of Nigerian refugees have already crossed the border with Chad. At the same time, the leaders of the Boko Haram grouping declare that they will extend their activities to the neighboring states of Nigeria. First of all, this is Chad. Cameroon is also on the list.
