In my opinion, it is interesting that there are no our UAZs, Tigers, Lynxes. Quite (as far as you can see) Hammers and Rovers. The rest is just like in RA (SA).

In all sources, basically one figure is given: the firing range of the TOC is min. 400 m, max. 3600 m. Some sources say that the installation can shoot at 6000 m with new missiles.

It seems to me that in the conditions of the steppe, a distance of 3-5 kilometers is unacceptable for vehicles with easy booking. Hurricane or Tornado are more appropriate for the army of Kazakhstan.

TOS-1 "Buratino" is a large flamethrower and is designed to disable lightly armored vehicles and vehicles, set fire to and destroy structures and buildings, destroy enemy manpower located in open areas and in fortifications, fragments, shock waves generated on the target area with the massive use of unguided rockets in thermobaric and smoke-inducing equipment.
The Hurricanes and Tornadoes have other tasks and purposes. They serve to destroy openly located and sheltered manpower, unarmored and armored vehicles, artillery, tactical missiles and anti-aircraft systems of the enemy, his helicopters in parking lots, as well as to destroy command posts, nodes communications and objects of the military-industrial structure.
Firing Range: Hurricane - up to 35 km, Tornado - up to 90 km.

Yes - this is clearly not for the steppe - I think it is for close range fighting on the southern borders against a larger but technically weaker enemy (Kazakhstan has a small population problem - and continues to decline - and southern neighbors have the opposite - the number is growing)
And for the steppe, respectively, there are other weapons

Most importantly, Kazakhstan has strong air forces and air defense. Here, much earlier than in Russia they started financing - in those days when Russian pilots had an average flying time of about 4 hours a year, if I am not mistaken, they tried to keep it under 100 hours a year. True, most pilots (as well as commanders in the army) are Russians by nationality. And Su 27 was upgraded from Belarusians to the latest version - they will not be inferior to the Chinese last Sukhoi. For all tanks - I read in the newspaper about exercises under Karaganda - night vision devices and other electronics like the Georgians have almost everything (in my opinion, Israeli too)
I read what is considered to be the 2nd Army in the CST on aviation, and generally 3rd after the Belarusian. In general, the army of the republic did not fall apart and is becoming increasingly stronger - which is good. Russia will not have to invest alone in security to the south

I am not a military man, but from the footage shown in the report, it is clear that the equipment is going exactly, like on a ruler, training is visible. Handsomely! But somehow on the VO website there was an article about our friend Hugo Chavez, how everything he bought at the parade was rolling, ... the impression was a comparison like "how the bull wrote" :))))))))))))) )))))))) The feeling was as if the tankers were rolled out onto the road and asked to drive approximately one after another in one direction :)))))))) And the Kazakhs are great!

Thank you - as a Kazakhstani, such a compliment to our army warms my heart. Only a small amendment — not the Kazakhs — but the Kazakhstanis — because there are many Slavs in the army — especially the officers in my majority (no offense to the fellow countrymen — the Kazakhs)

I also join Ivan35 - thank you for the compliment towards our army! But I remind you that in the light of the integration events of recent years, this is actually our army common with Russia - it can be considered as part of the common army of the future union, along with the Belarusian and Russian.
I would like other CSTO countries to come to the same level of integration as soon as possible

Everything will fall into place when the Eurasian Union is created, which Nazarbayev had dreamed of for 20 years. Now, this is presented as Putin’s initiative. But the main thing is that the benefit should be for the common cause. We are all from the same common homeland.
