The Ministry of Communications will protect the Runet in case of attempts to disable it

The Ministry of Communications and Mass Media stated that they have a plan to protect the Russian Internet segment from possible outages, and it is constantly being improved, including during consultations with the BRICS countries. This newspaper reports NEWS.

The Ministry of Communications will protect the Runet in case of attempts to disable it

“Such a plan exists. But this is always a process, because the threats and our responses to these threats are always improved, so to speak. And therefore we are consulting with our colleagues, in particular, colleagues from the BRICS countries ”- said the head of the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media Nikolay Nikiforov.

According to him, there are "technical scenarios that allow the national segment of the Network to withstand even in the case of destructive external influence, and there are no restrictions associated with cross-border traffic."

“All these organizational measures are quietly implemented within the country. We will implement them year after year and step by step. ”Said the minister.

In October, Vladimir Putin said that "the state does not intend to restrict the Internet and introduce global control over it." At the same time, he instructed the relevant agencies to ensure the "security and stability of the Runet."

He noted that "the Internet is a powerful geopolitical resource, and some countries use it to achieve their military and political goals."

Since the ministry officially declares that it is ready to confront the threat, these threats are real. By the way, are mailboxes and cloud services already physically stored on our servers?

Entered in 1987, I remember my knees were shaking before entering the office, when the Charter had to be answered. The ticket was lost somewhere in time, and the Komsomol and Pioneer badges are still at home with their parents.

Of course, our Internet should be protected from possible disconnection by our enemies.

So the enemies are not profitable to turn it off as:
        1. Loss of customers of large corporations (Google, Microsoft)
        2. Loss of profit from Internet services (Steam, origin, Amazon, ebay, Facebook tweeter)
        3. Loss of propaganda.

But disconnecting Runet from the general network is beneficial to our government, for example, with a simplified tracking mechanism for users and a simplified blocking of "wrong" sites.

God forbid, of course ... I don’t know what TAM is doing, but RUNET has long been to become the dominant in the whole NET space. Is this really not clear to the government?

Offer flexible conditions for Russian providers in Russia. I would even pay them. It's elementary.

In the sense of "bent" conditions? We all pay providers anyway. They do not generate the Internet themselves, so the first ones will be covered if something happens ...

A full copy of the Runet (mirror) is located in Russia. But it is of little use, while there are no main servers in Russia.

If they cut off from the Internet, they will sign in their helplessness before some facts that conscious citizens of Western countries accumulate on the Internet.
They can achieve the opposite effect. The people will rebel in the backyard, so to speak ...
Even if they turn it off, we have universities and research institutes that will build their own Internet, you only have to fork out for a whole bunch of communication satellites.

Well, you were wondering. In Russia there is a mirror server with a full copy of the Runet. It remains only to create a head server. If it is, then only by simply switching to the Russian head server the Runet’s work in Russia is restored. If the Ministry of Communications has tested this technology, then there is no need to worry. In one day, the work of the Runet will be restored.

The root server will contain two addresses "ru" and "rf". I think that trying out a test switch is not such a difficult task for professionals. Only those will suffer who licked one place for the amerikos and bought addresses on the root server "com" and the like.

Thank you so much!!! I keep the Komsomol ticket and account card, as a memory, so far, this is mine. I also keep the attributes (badge, mandate, notepad) of the delegate of the 10th Komsomol Conference of Air Defense Forces of the Moscow Air Defense Ministry in 1984, representing our military unit. I am proud.

Personally, I don’t know why let the United States cut off the Internet for us, but it’s profitable for the Russian government to cut off our part from the global network.

Americans and do not want to chop off the Internet for Russia. This is a great tool for destroying all user computers connected to the Internet. No expert in the FSB knows what commands the processor can execute. For example: A command is sent, the processor sends a signal to the power supply unit and the latter sends a current to all computer devices with increased values of current, voltage, or with a different frequency. Everything and your computer is dead and forever unsuitable.

And the practical meaning? And if the left operating system is not, not windows, not linux, not MAC, how then will the command work?

The state does not intend to restrict the Internet and introduce global control over it. " Well, well, the western "Echelon" and "Prism", the Russian SORM does not count at all, Article 138 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation in Runet is nonsense.
