Ukraine has banned Russian artists from entering the country: Iosif Kobzon called for "spit" on sanctions
Kiev announced the list of persona non grata, which included 14 Russian artists, including singer Iosif Kobzon, satirist Mikhail Zadornov and actor Ivan Okhlobystin.
“Discussions regarding the introduction of sectoral and personal sanctions against cultural figures, who openly support Russia in its aggression against Ukraine, have been going on since the first such statements. So, recently, the government adopted a list of 14 people who, for their anti-Ukrainian position, have become persona non grata in our country, ”the press service of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine RIA reports "News".
The report notes that the agency will not disclose all the names from the list, referring to international standards.
The introduction of sanctions against Russian artists was commented by People’s Artist of the USSR Iosif Kobzon, who called on his colleagues to "spit" on restrictions and go to the Donbass with concerts.
“Foreign artists are not very interested in artists from Russia. Therefore, you need to go where they want to hear our music, our songs. Spit on sanctions, which, of course, follow. (...) I was born here, and for me this land is very expensive. Russia and Donbass attracts to each other. We are united by the Donetsk aura. It is she who does not allow people of Donbass to be put on their knees, ”Kobzon said.
