On September 10, 29 launched anti-aircraft defense (AA) combat service on the territory of the Krasnodar Territory, an anti-aircraft missile regiment, which is part of the 4 Air Force and Air Defense Command of the Southern Military District, which received the newest S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems (ZRS) and Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun systems (ZRPK).
In early September, the regiment’s combat crews returned to their permanent station after completing tactical exercises with live firing at the Ashuluk training ground in the Astrakhan Region.
“The anti-aircraft gunners with high accuracy struck high-speed targets imitating ballistic, low-altitude, and operational-tactical means of an aerospace assault of the enemy in the entire range of altitudes and speeds. According to the results of the exercise, the regiment was rated "excellent", - notes Press Service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The main task of the anti-aircraft missile regiment is to organize the air defense of the southern air borders of Russia, to cover energy and industrial facilities, army groups and communications from attacks by aerospace attack weapons.
