ZVO received a new vehicle

21
Over 30% of the ZVO truck fleet today is not older than 3 years. These are modern cars of the KamAZ-Mustang and Ural-Avtovoz family, surpassing the best foreign analogues in reliability, maneuverability, and safety, the press service of the Western District reports on the website Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

ZVO received a new vehicle

Since 2012, the ZVO troops have received about 6 thousand units of vehicles of these families from the Russian defense industry.

“This year, delivery of cargo armored vehicles of the increased security of the Typhoon family has begun to the troops of the district. They are intended both for the transportation of personnel and for the installation of various equipment or weapon systems. ”- said in a statement.

The site notes that “the cars are equipped with a combined 4-level armor and anti-mine protection, digital information and control systems and sealed habitable space for personnel”. By the end of the year, more than 50 of such trucks will be supplied to the reserve.

All the equipment that arrived in the district successfully passed the tests that it underwent during the exercises and sudden inspections of 2013-2014.

Since 2012, the troops of the Western Military District have received from the Russian defense industry about 6 thousand units of vehicles of these families. Serious replenishment! But as I understand it, there are not many Typhoons themselves in these 6 thousand ... Couldn't they have riveted so many of them in a couple of years? Or am I not aware of something? request

Why are there so many of them? The use of unarmored vehicles in everyday life is much wider.

Typhoon is in unarmored versions. It should become the main transport platform for the next 30 years.

Tell me, what is the best way to breed a stew or a uniform from the central base: a three-wheel drive three-axle KamAZ-typhoon with mine protection or an ordinary saddle with a semi-trailer?

Once again, for transportation of the train and cargo in the frontline zone, the typhoon is armored. In peacetime, an unarmored typhoon, which in its operational characteristics is no different from a standard truck. There is no fire extinguishing system. Aid management kit with AI. Boreva module with suo and TPV channel and so on. It is just a truck. But since it is unified with the armored typhoon and typhoon (replacing the tiger and the UAZ), this allows. Save on logistics, training, repairs and manufacturing. This platform is for large armies.

Dear Evgeniy. Well, why distort? The technique for transporting stewed meat and linen to the laundress is one thing, but the delivery of ammunition to the front end is another. The Typhoon family is very promising, to be honest I would have tried it myself on this device. But on a Kamaz 5410 saddle, crawling with a ribbon on the passes in Chechnya, my friend added gray hair (at 21 he became almost blond).

So I don’t argue, I’m about how many are worried why so few Typhoons enter the ZVO. To ensure the daily life of the troops, it makes no sense to replace all vehicles with Typhoons.

We all forget about the formula for the ideal vehicle for war. The "Ivan-Willis" -GAZ-67 was ideal. A penny cost, simple and fast assembly, high cross-country ability, carrying capacity.
It is clear that today the conditions and requirements are different, but still the 67th was the perfect car for the war.
And the fact that the troops received a new highly passable equipment is great. Russia has only two faithful allies, it is its army and navy.

This is a single supply platform. There are both non-armored versions and versions for the first line. The modular platform allows you to install any art system, air defense system, engineering equipment. In the armored version, personnel can be transported. Also included is an independent combat module with the ability to install machine guns of all calibers, anti-tank guns, and easel grenade launchers. In the armored version it has a very developed mine protection, allows you to hang additional kermicheskoy or steel armor, as well as the installation of lattice anti-cumulative screens. The front edge version has an automatic fire extinguishing system. The air conditioner is also equipped with machine elements for assisting in managing difficult and emergency situations. It has the highest level of comfort for the crew and landing. Unification between versions from 80 to 100%. There is also a version of the standard car to replace the tiger. Also unified with typhoon.

And why does everyone forget that in Typhoons there are imported components? for example, on Typhoon-K there are imported Bosh gas pumps, French wheels, an automatic transmission from the American Allison (this is what is known from the Internet) there are certainly other parts. Question: in war mode, sanctions with the West, why do we put into service equipment that depends on Western supplies? Typhoons are great cars but they must be fully produced in our territory.

And if you look at the questions of foreign components .... how many different types of new-type equipment cannot be produced without Western equipment? A huge number (primarily modern control systems, optics, etc.) And many things that are not forgotten are done, for example, in Belarus (TPV Sosna-U from the most famous) Yes, it’s clear that the ally and the fraternal republic and the Old Man are at the helm ..... but we look at the future and the future? why buy something not in your own country, which is connected with the defense complex ?? I can’t understand this. The degree of pressure on us and our allies is only increasing. We cannot be sure that in 10-15 years the situation in neighboring states will not change (and this is just the service life of the equipment in the majority) ..... .
As a result, everything that is connected with the defense complex should be done with us. I absolutely support Rogozin's position in this.

A lot of Bosch products are produced in Saratov (candles, gas pumps, sensors)
What do you mean "French wheels" ?? Are you talking about rubber or rims? Imported rubber has been produced in Russia for a long time, and our rims have always been produced normally (even cast ones are some of the best in the world).
Allison is an American automatic transmission (automatic), nothing prevents us from putting a manual transmission (mechanics) there ... I agree that ours do not know how to do automatic transmission (3-speed current).

Kamaz employees use the American Allison automatic transmission, German armored ceramics, Bosch fuel pumps, French combat-resistant wheels with inserts. "Autoreview" magazine (c)
So I don’t know what exactly they do with us, but what they bring. And this is mainly the jambs of Kamazovtsev, the Ural version consists of our components (not counting the Belarusians again, the chassis and automatic transmission of their production) But at least it is not west. And the Ural version is cheaper, and as already mentioned when the mine was blown up, the layout without a hood much worse, because the whole blow falls on the cab.
In general, while the advantage is on the side of Typhoon U.
