Navy: The Bulava salvo launch will be held before the end of the yearFour test launches of the Bulava intercontinental ballistic missile, including one salvo, will be conducted from the side of the Yury Dolgoruky submarine until the end of the year.

“Until the end of the year, four launches of the Bulava will be carried out as part of the flight design tests. There are plans for a salvo launch,” the Russian commander Vladimir Vysotsky said in a statement quoted by Interfax.

"When it takes place, will determine the state commission for flight tests of the complex," - said Vysotsky, speaking of volley launch. Such a launch involves the shooting of two or more missiles, he added.

We will note, recently it was reported that the flight tests of the Bulava will be continued in a month.

“It was originally planned that a month after the successful launch of the Bulava in June from the submarine Yury Dolgoruky the next test launch would take place - salvo. But the analysis of the results of the June start-up and the preparation of the next one took longer than expected. Therefore, the Bulava launches will be resumed at the end of August, and, possibly, in the fall, ”said a source in the defense complex.

According to him, from the board of “Yuri Dolgoruky”, “with a small interval two missiles will be launched one after the other in the Kamchatka test site“ Kura ”.

Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov said that an intercontinental ballistic missile of the sea-based "Bulava" can be launched into a series.

The P30 3М30 “Bulava-30” sea-based intercontinental ballistic missile (RSM-56 for use in international treaties, according to NATO classification) is the newest Russian three-stage solid-fuel rocket deployed on submarines.

The rocket can carry from six to ten hypersonic nuclear units of individual guidance at 100-150 kilotons, capable of changing the flight path in height and course. It has a low-altitude flight profile.

"Bulava" was developed at the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering. The maximum flight distance is 8 thousands of kilometers, the starting weight is 36,8 tons, throw weight (payload) is 1150 kilograms, the length in the launch container is 12,1 meters, the length without head part is 11,5 meters.

The staff carrier of the 955 “Borey” submarine is “Yuri Dolgoruky”, “Alexander Nevsky”, “Vladimir Monomakh” and others. A total of eight submarines of this type are planned to be built before the 2015.
