Two worlds - two Andrew
War harshly and uncompromisingly tears off people’s masks, revealing everything in souls that lurked there for the time being, which wasn’t seen in a peaceful life, for everyday worries, smiles, weekdays and weekends. Courage and cowardice, nobility and baseness, kindness and malice, loyalty and betrayal - nothing escapes the gaze of the merciless searchlight of war.
Sometimes it is not even necessary to physically visit a war — it is enough just to stand next to it, under the slanting rays of an all-seeing searchlight.
The war in Novorossiya has ripped the covers from many, very many — known and unknown — people. The people of Donbass and Lugansk dared to express their will in a referendum. And for such a declaration of will was severely punished by artillery shelling, air bombardments, punitive expeditions of paramilitary formations ... Of course, there were influential forces in the world who accused the bloodshed of not Kiev executioners, but ... Russia. They called it the “aggressor” - as if they had forgotten how they themselves had recently thrown deadly bombs at Belgrade, Pristina, Baghdad, Tripoli ...
Of course, millions of Russian citizens remained faithful to their homeland, especially in this situation of a collective and unjust judgment on her by “civilized” inquisitors. But a minority was revealed - basically, it turned out to be famous, financially secure people, who received from the country and its people everything they could wish for - money, titles, villas, diamonds, and even the opportunity to eat jamon and fuagras.
And so, at two poles of this situation, there were two Andrews. Both are creative people. Although there are representatives of different spheres: one is a journalist, a photographer, a correspondent in “hot spots”; the other is a poet, singer, musician. Andrei Stenin and Andrei Makarevich. The war illuminated both with its bright searchlight, but burned one and only touched the other with a weak oblique ray.
However, one, even dying, remained faithful to the motherland and the people. Another - continues to sell, play up, tack. Either he fronds himself, he tries to look "good" and "loyal."
I did not agree with everything on Andrei Stenin, but today is not the time to talk about it. Today, every creative person - be it a journalist, a writer, a publicist, a poet, a musician, an artist - must have his say in memory of him and other creative people who have not returned from the war - Igor Kornelyuk, Andrei Voloshin, Anatoly Klyan ...
These people told the truth about the punitive operation of temporary workers, entrenched in Kiev, against the people of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. The regions are no longer Ukraine, but New Russia (even if its actual creation is postponed - it already exists in the annals of Justice and Honor).
It is impossible not to join the words said in the statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry in connection with the death of journalist Andrei Stenin: “We express our most sincere and deep condolences to Andrei's family and friends, sympathy and solidarity with the Russia Today MIA team, as well as the entire Russian journalistic community. ... How many more innocent human lives must be sacrificed for Kiev to stop its reckless criminal policies against millions of people in the South-East? Western patrons must abandon hypocrisy and double-dealing in assessing the real catastrophic human rights situation in Ukraine, whose leadership is so eager to join the “civilized European family.”
However, none of those who are constantly sticking on the air of Echo of Moscow these days have joined these words. On the other hand, watering the filth of the heroes of Novorossia, and of Russia itself, and its fallen journalists, is going on despite the elementary professional ethics.
And the second Andrei - Makarevich, who belongs to the pseudo-creative class, as well as the well-known Albats, Latynina and the late Novodvorskaya - did not say a single good word about the Russian people being killed in the Donbass, nor about their namesake who fell with a camera in his hands on the Donetsk land, ravaged by the junta.
But, if other “crackers” have at least a clear and consistent position - spitting poison at the homeland and dying compatriots - then Makarevich saw that such a position could threaten him personally with very painful consequences.
And the one who participated in the so-called "Peace March" (which actually was the real march of the war, as there were sweaters with the Bandera flag), who splashed saliva about the fact that Russia managed to save at least Crimea from the fate of Donetsk and Lugansk, who unreasonably blamed the Russian Federation for the tragedy of the downed "Boeing" - suddenly writes a letter to Putin. "Save, - they say, - me from harassment." "Stop the Sabbath." (It is possible, if desired, even to consider this article as an act of “persecution).
Shortly before this letter, he traveled to the lands occupied by the Kiev junta of Slavyansk, where he sang songs practically on the bones of his compatriots.
“But I sang for the children of refugees,” objected our “principled” artist.
However, before that he had not a single word condemned the actions of Poroshenko and his punishers against Slavyansk and its inhabitants. And he came to the area only after the fall of Slavyansk and the occupation of nearby cities by the junta. Of course, this caused a certain reaction among the overwhelming majority of people who remained loyal to their country, who perceive the killing of the residents of the DPR and the LPR as a tragedy.
There was talk — just talk — about depriving Makarevich of the title of people's artist and state awards. And here the “hero” went back down. Not everyone can risk his heart in his chest - some are not able to risk even hanging on his chest.
Now he beats himself in this very chest and says: "I am a patriot." Going to participate in a concert in favor of the victims in Donetsk. I don’t presume to argue whether this act of his will counterbalance the negative that Makarevich accomplished during this spring and summer. But one thing is clear: in the songs he proclaimed uncompromising: “You should not bend over a changeable world, let it be better he will bend under us,” and he bent twice already. First, when he went against his homeland, now when he tries to return to her arms.
But is it trying? Judging by his new song “My Country Has Lost Madness”, sung on “Echo of Moscow” - and his plaintive letter to Putin, and the expressed intention to participate in a charity concert is just another hypocrisy. It is quite indicative that it is common for liberals to shout that a country has gone mad as soon as the people express a disagreeable position. Almost the same: “Russia, you are stupid!” Shouted another liberal artist, Yuri Karyakin, on television. That was after the Democrats won a minority vote. Now, from the mouth of Makarevich, a similar diagnosis of Russia sounds again, which involuntarily raises the question: did the author of a similar song check with the appropriate doctor?
Therefore, for millions of ordinary people, Andrei Stenin is a hero, and Andrei Makarevich is an opportunist and a hypocrite. Therefore, thousands of people came to say goodbye to the fallen journalist. And in the address of the playboy - it sounds quite fair criticism, which he considers "harassment" and demands that the president stop it. Therefore, Stenin was awarded posthumously the Order of Courage, and Makarevich, who was awarded during his life for dubious "merit" (in fact - only for supporting Yeltsin in 91) - is now shaking for his order.
The attitude of the Kiev junta and various marginal groupings of the Right Sector type to these two people is also indicative. As for Stenin, Kiev gave conflicting information, bargained, condemned his professional activities, and almost accused him of terrorism. Makarevich junta is ready to call for the throne as almost a court artist. Only the “hero” is not in a hurry to Kiev - he must be, with his back mind, understand that the future of Ukraine under the rule of Poroshenok and Yatsenyuk is not a European palace, but a barnyard with him.
"And each went his own way." Andrei Stenin - to eternal life, Andrei Makarevich - to the virtual city of Kholuevo. And the train of life - went his own.
