This year it is planned to complete development work on the creation of a “fifth-generation advanced integrated automated combat control system (IASBU) and conduct its state tests,” the website reports. Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
“This will enable the Strategic Missile Forces, starting with 2016, to begin equipping the upgraded control posts of the Strategic Missile Forces and the advanced strategic missile systems (SRCN) with IASB units.”- noted in the press service of the military department.
The introduction of automated systems will ensure the management of both currently existing and promising missile systems for several decades.
It is reported that "the exchange of information in the IASBU is based on a digital transmission system of combat orders, which will allow for the operational re-targeting of missiles, as well as provide a solution to the tasks of the daily operations of the Strategic Missile Forces command, formations and formations.
The press service stresses that the combat control units developed in the automated system, together with the established wire, radio and satellite communication channels, which have the necessary survivability and noise immunity, will ensure that combat control orders are delivered to both command posts of various ranks and directly to the launchers, including in the conditions of nuclear exposure and electronic suppression ".
The site notes the fact that the developments use the most modern samples exclusively from the Russian electronic component base. According to the press service, "the system is very ergonomic, it has an improved intelligent and user-friendly software interface."
