Novelties from Russian Helicopters
One of the main innovations of the Russian helicopter industry was the Mi-171-2 helicopter, equipped with new generation systems with enhanced functionality and a high level of safety.
In particular, he received a complex of onboard equipment KBO-17, which implements the principle of the so-called glass cabin. It consists of four liquid crystal displays, 6x8 inches in size, for the output of onboard systems and flight information. The central 15-inch monitor is used to display data from an external optical viewing system.
The Mi-171А2 is equipped with two VK-2500PS-03 engines, an X-shaped tail rotor and a transmission with composite blades. According to the company, all future modifications of the Mi-8 / 17 family will use innovative solutions embedded in the Mi-171А2.
In addition, a new multi-purpose helicopter Mi-38 with a progressive design and integrated architecture of onboard equipment will be presented.
“The first flight of the Mi-38 was a successful result of the joint work of Russian helicopter builders and engines. Mi-38 represents a new generation of technology capable of providing the highest level of safety and comfort standards. Thanks to TV7-117В engines, the potential of using the Mi-38 will significantly expand, which will become an additional competitive advantage and make the helicopter even more attractive in the eyes of our traditional and new customers, ”said Alexander Mikheev, General Director of Russian Helicopters.
It is worth noting that the holding is also engaged in other projects that will be available at the HeliRussia 2014 exhibition.
