Pakistani Taliban revenge for bin Laden's “torment”

Militants of the Pakistan Taliban’s “branch” stated that the death of 80 people as a result of the Shabkadar attack was a revenge for the killing of “terrorist No. XXUMX”

The Taliban branch in Pakistan claimed responsibility for killing at least 80 people in the city of Shabkadar in northwestern Pakistan (near the border with Afghanistan, about 35 km north-west of Peshawar). According to militants, the attack was a revenge for the "martyrdom" of al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden.

The Taliban claimed that the bombings were the "first act of revenge" for the death of bin Laden, and threatened with new, larger terrorist attacks in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The terrorist act was committed by suicide bombers who attacked an army military training center. Police believe that there were two suicide bombers: they were blown up one by one.

According to the BBC, more than 100 people were injured, including 40 - severe. Almost all of the victims were recruits taking military training at the center. There are civilians among the dead.

Pakistan hot spot

In the area where the attack occurred, the militants are actively fighting with the authorities of Pakistan. There is speculation that the forces of the Gulbuddin Hekmatyar group are based in these regions - the Afghan field commander, leader of the Islamic Party of Afghanistan, declared by the United States in 2003 an international terrorist for cooperating with Al-Qaida and the Taliban.

Experts believe that al-Qaeda does not have its own military units in the area, but do not rule out that the local Taliban can organize other attacks to avenge Bin Laden’s murder.

The head of al-Qaida was killed by US special forces 2 in May in the Pakistani city of Abbottabad. The body of the terrorist was buried in the sea.

Since then, several factions have promised to avenge the assassination of the leader of the terrorist network. In particular, the Taliban promised to take revenge, and emphasized that their first goal would be Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and army representatives, and the second - the United States.

How much is Bin Laden's murder?

The fight against Bin Laden cost the United States dearly, and in the literal sense of the word. Over the past 10 years, the US government has spent two trillion dollars on these goals - more than 20% of the country's public debt.

This considerable amount includes funds spent on the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as on enhanced security measures introduced after the September 11 attacks.

According to the Finnam Info portal, Bloomberg estimates that this year alone, 45 will spend billions of dollars from the pockets of American taxpayers to pay interest on the amount shattered in the fight against al Qaeda.

It is noteworthy that even the dead Bin Laden brings a considerable loss to the US budget. 25% of budget expenditures is a part of spending in the amount of 285 billions of dollars, which the USA is spending in connection with the consequences of the activity of “terrorist number XXUMX”.

Economists have calculated that Osama bin Laden cost the budget 250 billions of dollars every year. And with his death, expenses have not decreased: in 2012, the US government intends to spend an additional $ 118 billion on military operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. Another $ 14 billion will go to national security, about $ 125 billion to the Pentagon (this does not take into account the financing of military operations and additional assistance to Pakistan).

Echo 11 September

The September 11 attacks are "cheering" on the US budget so far. Over the 10 years after the attacks, the US ground forces have increased by 92 thousands of people, which cost the treasury $ 9 billion.

Spending on US intelligence agencies is also growing - intelligence alone costs $ 25-30 billions annually.

Finally, the US Department of Homeland Security has spent $ 123 billion more over the past nine years than it could have spent if there had been no September 11 terrorist attacks.

Finally, in addition to the colossal costs, bin Laden changed the life and consciousness of the whole country. Thousands of people lost their loved ones in the attacks and two wars. The September 11 attacks sowed wariness and fear, and the well-known American democracy was squeezed by law enforcement agencies, which, under the pretext of fighting the threat, constantly expand their powers.

The CIA has long known where their agent, Osama bin Laden, is. Osama, raised by the US special services, became unnecessary at the very moment when it became necessary for the American president to PR. Meanwhile, willingly or unwillingly, Bin Laden carried out exactly the US policy, creating hotbeds of tension in the world according to the American policy of "controlled chaos." There is indeed chaos, and it is now fully operational throughout the Middle East. And the fact that the revolutionary events of regime change in the countries of the Middle East region are controlled from the outside is a fact that only a complete fool can deny! The role of the special services has grown enormously. But ours, on the contrary, fell incredibly and not so much because of a series of betrayals, but because of the "hare policy of ears pressed to the trembling body."
