Natalia Poklonskaya is not afraid of criminal prosecution in Ukraine
"Russian newspaper" published an interview with Natalya Poklonskaya, Acting Prosecutor of the Crimea, in which she spoke about the priorities of the law enforcement agencies of the peninsula, about the difficulties of switching to Russian criminal law, as well as about her own activity in the global network.According to Poklonskaya, at the moment her department faces a number of important tasks.
“First of all, it is the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens. Especially low-security social categories: children, disabled, veterans. Payment of social benefits, provision of medicines and means of rehabilitation, ”said the acting prosecutor.
In addition, much attention is paid to the fight against corruption, the observance of laws in the execution of criminal sentences, as well as the work of public authorities.
Poklonskaya noted that the crime situation in the peninsula has improved significantly, the region has become safer for tourists. In particular, the number of crimes decreased compared to last year.
According to the Interfax, also in the interview was raised the question of the transition from Ukrainian to Russian criminal law. According to the acting prosecutor of Crimea, “thanks to the good professional training of our staff and the desire of my colleagues to integrate more quickly into the Russian prosecutor’s office, we will solve this problem very soon.”
It is worth mentioning that Natalya Poklonskaya was wanted on the territory of Ukraine for "actions committed to overthrow the constitutional system or seize state power." However, she is not afraid of criminal prosecution. The prosecutor stated that "she always acted according to the law and believes that retribution should be feared by those who went against the will of the people and seized power."
