Singapore Airshow-2014 Flight Program

7
Because of the hellish heat (+ 30 + 32 in the shadow) demonstration flights at the Singapore Airshow last an hour. The program issued does not indicate the time of the performance of a particular aircraft, but only its name or the name of the aerobatic team. As a result, in order not to miss anything, you have to watch everything.

It is better to look at the performance of the VM22 Osprey convertopane from above to see the clouds of spray raised by them in the Singapore Strait.

2. The unique advantages of an aircraft are given by its rotary propellers. They are able to create both lift and horizontal thrust. As a result, the Osprey can hover in place like a helicopter.

3. Gondolas with propellers (two Rolls-Royce T406 engines) with a diameter of 11,4 m are turned to angles from 0 to 96 degrees, and they make such a reorganization in just 12 seconds.

4. Singapore Black Knights Aerobatic Team - Black Knights on F-16C.

5. The planes are painted in the colors of the national flag of Singapore - white and red with five stars.

6. The group was created in 1973 year and was originally called Osprey Red, and a year later it was renamed The Black Knights.

7. Double counter aerobatics.

8. Does anyone know which of the aerobatic teams began to perform it first?

9. Classic aerobatics on the side looks like.

10. The Black Knights has one erotic pose that no other aerobatic team shows.

11. Yesterday there was a beautiful sky over Singapore.

      Singapore Airshow 2014
Asia's largest exposition, Singapore Airshow 2014, is not so much scaled as the representativeness of the participants. It is here that the main directions of the world's largest aviation market are largely determined. The battle for this market is serious, and Russia is the most active participant in it.
Over the past 20 years, about 400 Su and MiG aircraft have been delivered to the countries of the region, mainly to China, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Myanmar. Joint work with India continues on the licensed production of the Su-30MKI. The development of a project for a Russian-Indian fifth-generation fighter and a medium-sized transport aircraft is also in progress.

In Singapore, our aircraft manufacturers show the combat trainer Yak-130 and the passenger Sukhoi Superjet 100. The airliner was provided by the Indonesian airline Sky Aviation, which has been successfully operating the aircraft since March 2013. It is indicative that a machine made in Russia stands next to world stars of very great magnitude: the American "dream liner" B-787 and the hope of European aircraft manufacturers A-350. And it so happened that the transcontinental A-350 and the regional SSJ 100 riveted the main attention of the salon participants.

On the opening day, Singapore's Transport Minister Lu Tuk Yew boarded the Superjet, walked around the cabin, sat in the seats, in the cockpit and told the journalists around him that he liked the plane. Representatives of many regional airlines had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the SSJ 100 in Singapore in full, and receive information about the machine directly from those who operate it.

The United Aircraft Corporation, according to its president Mikhail Poghosyan, plans to occupy about fifteen percent of the Asian market for regional segment aircraft with a capacity of up to 120 seats. The market of the promising family of Russian MC-21 aircraft, which are also shown in Singapore, is estimated in Asia at no less than five percent for the segment of trunk liners with a capacity of 120 to 200 seats.

Another of our aircraft, which attracted the attention of both military specialists and ordinary spectators, is the combat training Yak-130. His flights are scheduled for every day of the cabin. In the flight program opposite the Yak-130 it is written: solo display. Test pilots Vasily Sevastyanov and Andrey Voropaev pilot the car.

The last photo shows that the Yak-130 is relatively large. And this means that it would make a good ultra-light fighter. Remember the American F-5, created on the basis of the same training T-38. The Yak must definitely see a similar option, at least for export.
