Women in the war

3
It just so happens that all our ideas about war are associated with the image of a male soldier. This is understandable: it was mostly the representatives of the stronger sex - men who fought. And for some reason they usually forget to say about women, that they also did a lot to win. During the Great Patriotic War, women not only rescued and bandaged the wounded, but also fired sniper rifles, blew up bridges, went on reconnaissance missions, and flew airplanes.
Let's remember about these women-heroes?

Snipers: Faina Yakimova, Roza Shanina, Lidia Volodina

This error is all over the internet! Please correct - in the photo signed "Ekaterina Budanova" it is not her at all, but Margarita Ratsenskaya http://www.letunij.narod.ru/Racenskaya1.html
And yet - not Chechnev, but Chechnev with an emphasis on the first syllable.
    Thank you.
