Russian Navy to form two new brigades on the Black Sea

Two ship brigades consisting of the 1135.6 frigates and diesel-electric submarines of the 636 project will be created with the arrival of new units in the Black Sea Fleet, said Admiral Viktor Chirkov, commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy.

According to him, as early as next year new frigates of the 1135.6 project and diesel-electric submarines of the 636 project will start coming to the Black Sea Fleet. There should be six such ships. They will form a new brigade. A second connection will also be created, consisting of the diesel-electric submarines of the 636 project, which will solve problems in the fleet's operational zone - in the Black and Mediterranean Seas.

The commander-in-chief of the Navy also noted that by the arrival of new ships, submarines and aircraft on the Black Sea Fleet, a system of training specialists should be created - from sailor to admiral. Taking into account the supply of new equipment, a new training base will be created to allow 75-80% of the time to train crews ashore to save resources.

Kaliningrad Shipyard "Yantar" will build for the Russian Navy a total of six frigates of the 1135.6 project. The lead ship of this series, the frigate "Admiral Grigorovich" was laid 18 December 2010 of the year. 8 July 2011, the plant laid the second building - the frigate "Admiral Essen". The entire series of PSZ "Yantar" will transfer to the fleet in 2014 year.

Earlier it was reported that in St. Petersburg on the "Admiralty Shipyards" in production are four of the six submarines for the Black Sea Fleet. The submarines of the 636 project were developed at the St. Petersburg Central Design Bureau for Marine Engineering (TsKB MT) Rubin.

According to the designers, these boats, due to the low noise level, are able to provide guaranteed pre-emptive detection and the ability to attack enemy ships from a long distance using anti-ship cruise missiles.

The boats of this project have the following characteristics: length - 74 meters, maximum depth of immersion - 300 meters, autonomy - 45 days, crew - 52 people. Armament - 6 torpedo tubes, missile ammunition, torpedoes, mines - 18 units.

For those who are interested. I see a mismatch in terms of both corvettes and submarines. I looked through the OSK website. Tell me, what is the fate of the MIDDLE landing ship. 21810 PROJECT?

They learned how to build corvettes at the Northern Shipyard, there were problems with the engines, now they have apparently solved it. It will not work to set the deadlines as it was in the Soviet Union: everything is ruined, from shipyards to equipment suppliers. Even valves have forgotten how to make, there is a lot of marriage. A corvette was laid in Komsomolsk, and something is too quiet. And that was seven years ago. As far as I know, the Admiral is meeting the deadlines for diesel submarines. There they are like on an assembly line, they have been built for forty years. But I didn't find anything about KFOR. I suspect that it is not yet time for us to land on a foreign shore, to strengthen ours.

For a long time it was necessary to rivet 11356. Quite a decent project and worked out in construction on turkeys. Already could cut across the Black Sea.

So from the article it follows that for the Black Sea Fleet it is riveted, a series of six frigates should be transferred in 2014.
We cross our fingers for fellow countrymen so that everything works out for them.

You look, at such a pace we will gain power and, as in the days of the USSR, we will displace American ships from the Black Sea

And as I understand it, those who are for American ships in the Black Sea are minus? gentlemen liberals probably? Well, well, time will tell who is right. It’s a pity that the days when the USSR could have pushed out an Amer ship in February 1988 were a pity:

Such groupings for the Black Sea, for what? They must be based in the Mediterranean Sea, in the same Syria. If something serious is serious, then these ships will not pass through the strait, it is very narrow. But the ships themselves are needed. PS In Algeria, it would be nice to make a base, but there the French rule ...

Two brigades of six units in four years, for the fleet, excellent. Only have time to prepare crews
Greed here is only welcome, but do not forget to build ships, this is only half the battle, the main thing is to equip them and use them effectively. good

They have already steamed it up with PR. They haven’t built anything yet. They already report. And then all the surface ones that are of combat value should be sent to the Pacific, and not to the Black Sea.

11356 was intended exclusively for the Black Sea Fleet, and they took up it because of the development time of 22350 (Gorshkov), and these are already knurled to get new ships faster. After all, in principle, they did not plan to make several different types of frigates, only Gorshkov, but the terms dragged on with him

Thank you, I know the official interpretation.
But what prevents the use of 11356 in the Pacific Fleet?
Indeed, given the poor production base and, as a result, the huge construction time of ships, the Pacific Fleet risks even being left without combat-capable surface ships while it waits for 22350 and new destroyers.
And what will 11356 do on the Black Sea? The straits are easy to close, competing with the 6th US fleet, plus the Turkish fleet (16 frigates, 15 submarines) is absurd, the base is suspended.
In general, the idea is absurd with a scanty number of new ships spreading them in 4 fleets and 1 flotilla, and it’s not the fleet that needs ships in the first place (Pacific).

one thing hinders - the impossibility of mass production. The Black Sea Fleet also needs to be updated, while 11356 are being built around Gorshkov — as soon as they can, then the Gorshkovs will be on all fleets.

Three brigades should be located anywhere in the sea ... this is the classic, but if there are four or more ... then this is an advantage.
