Naftogaz of Ukraine: Russian Armed Forces attacked Ukrainian gas infrastructure with missiles
The Russian Armed Forces are attacking not only the energy infrastructure, but also the gas infrastructure in the territory controlled by the Kyiv regime. This is confirmed by today's missile arrivals at such facilities.
Information about damage to gas infrastructure facilities was reported by the press service of the Naftogaz of Ukraine company in its Telegram channel.
The release states that the Russian Armed Forces attacked the Ukrainian gas infrastructure with missiles tonight. Now the consequences of the strikes are being eliminated.
- Naftogaz said in a statement.
The company did not say what exactly was damaged and how badly. It was only said that there was damage.
But the details were reported by Lviv Internet users. They claim that missile attacks were observed in the direction of the city of Stryi, where one of the largest gas storage facilities in Ukraine is located.
This is not the first time that this facility has become a target for Russian missile strikes, as reported by the management of Naftogaz. In March, Alexey Chernyshov, who heads the company, reported that the surface infrastructure of an underground natural gas storage facility had been damaged as a result of Russian actions.
The head of the Kyiv regime, Vladimir Zelensky, also mentioned attacks on the gas infrastructure of Ukraine in his message this evening. He noted that the affected facilities are intended for the transit of Russian gas to Europe through Ukrainian territory.
