The head of the IOC said that Russian athletes who use the Z symbol could be “punished”

Russian athletes who use Z symbols or otherwise express their political position may be “punished”, up to and including immediate removal from the Games. This was stated by the head of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach.
According to the sports official, if such actions by Russian athletes are detected, the committee will immediately initiate disciplinary proceedings. Its result could be sanctions against representatives of Russian sports, including their exclusion from the Games.
Thus, the Western-controlled IOC is trying to discriminate against athletes from Russia for political reasons. Although sport should supposedly be “outside politics,” the West is purposefully and deliberately “politicizing” it, preventing Russian athletes from fully and fully participating in various international sporting events.
By trying to isolate Russia from international sports, the “collective West” may ultimately achieve the opposite effect. Such actions are likely to worsen the split in the modern world, including sports.
There are already a sufficient number of countries that do not want to be puppets of the United States and its satellites in all spheres of activity. In the future, we cannot exclude such a development as these countries creating their own infrastructure for holding sports competitions, and the teams of Western countries will be able to compete only among themselves.
