The Russian President's press secretary named the reason for Ukraine's refusal to sign the Istanbul peace agreements

The Ukrainian authorities at one time decided to abandon further negotiations with the Russian Federation and did not sign a peace agreement in Istanbul. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov.

According to the Kremlin representative, the reason for the sharp change in the position of the Ukrainian leadership was external pressure, namely, persuasion from the British authorities.

This was direct pressure from London. Mr. Arakhamia reported this, everything else is speculation

- emphasized the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation.

Peskov noted that one should trust the “primary source” of information, that is, the leader of the pro-presidential faction “Servant of the People” in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, David Arakhamia. Earlier, this politician himself admitted that Ukraine refused to negotiate under pressure from Great Britain. The then head of the British government, Boris Johnson, convinced the Kiev regime to continue hostilities.

Accordingly, it is Great Britain that bears direct responsibility for the armed conflict that has lasted more than two years and claimed hundreds of thousands of lives. Following the advice and demands of the British “patrons”, the Ukrainian leadership did not receive anything good for itself. Now they have worsened significantly due to the advance of the Russian Armed Forces and the position of the Ukrainian army, and neither Kyiv nor the “collective West” no longer knows how to get out of this situation.

They know exactly how to get out of the situation, but for some reason they don’t want to get out.

And how do you think the West can get out without losing face, so to speak?

Rewrite the 2022 agreements taking into account modern realities and push them through. Well, that's what they can do. Another thing is that Russia will demand more than in 2022. But the West is not bargaining with its own people either.
In the end, the United States simply abandoned what it started, as in Korea, Vietnam and Afghanistan. And there were no particularly terrible consequences for them from this.

How did this not gain anything for itself? and how much money did they make and steal from this? just personal gain - for your own pocket.

It is rotten to negotiate with the West - they will be deceived. Insolently. It has happened more than once.

Well, that’s the point: as long as there is a war and sanctions, you can calmly identify all the weaknesses of the Russian Federation, and even hit the greatest weaknesses of Ukraine.

And you also need to understand “either a million of our soldiers will die today”, “or in a couple of decades a dozen of our soldiers will die”, because NATO will be able to prepare Ukraine for a new war, and by that time there will be fewer former Soviet citizens supporting the Russian Federation, and therefore problems Russia will have more.....

Don't talk nonsense. Our president remembered Ilyin in his speeches back in 2001 or 2003.

Western countries negotiated with us through Ukraine in Istanbul so that we would make a gesture of goodwill. We did it - we withdrew the troops from Kyiv and everyone arrived. NATO intelligence knew our forces very well. It’s not for nothing that it has now been directly said - there will be no more from our side there will be no gestures of goodwill. Although the West hopes for this, remember the Gershkovich case!?

The Englishwoman is shitting - that's understandable. It has always been this way. I have another question: why the hell did negotiations with the Ukrainian fascists begin? First in Minsk in 2015, then in Paris in 2019, then in Istanbul in 2022. It is necessary to negotiate with the enemy only from a position of strength, like Alexander I in 1814 in Paris or Zhukov in 1945 in Berlin. Then there will be a result. And when they try to reconcile having barely begun the SVO, and then also make “gestures of goodwill” and “regrouping”, thereby immediately showing the enemy their weakness and uncertainty in the outcome of the operation, is it any wonder that such negotiators are eventually sent to all the letters?

This means that the agreements were drawn up on the knees.
When will the Kremlin publish the agreements?
