The Pentagon chief said that Ukraine will receive the first F-16s this year

It seems that the successes of the Russian Armed Forces in the Northern Military District zone made Kyiv’s Western partners very nervous.

Thus, in the United States, after many months of disputes and bureaucratic vicissitudes, they suddenly voted very quickly to allocate assistance to the Zelensky regime. In turn, Europe is quickly looking for additional air defense systems for Ukraine and ammunition for them.

But that's not all. During a meeting at the Ramstein base, Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin promised that the first American F-16 fighters would be delivered to Ukraine this year. At the same time, pilots trained abroad for these winged machines will arrive in the country.

Tellingly, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba previously spoke about the possible transfer of American combat aircraft to Kyiv by mid-summer.

It is worth noting that, according to many experts, including Western ones, neither $61 billion in aid nor F-16 fighters will be able to change the position of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the battlefield. In addition, speaking about American winged aircraft, the question remains open regarding the skill of Ukrainian pilots.

Previously, the Western press wrote that instructors training Ukrainian Armed Forces pilots complain about difficulties associated with communication, since Ukrainians speak English very poorly and do not understand all commands.

    As in the joke:
    - Do you speak English?
    - Shaw?

Even if they provide planes, it is unlikely that Ukrainians will pilot them. Moreover, you have to live, the year has only just begun.

You shouldn’t believe what they say about the poor piloting of Ukrainians... NATO pilots may be at the controls of the F-16... both active and retired.
Recently I have had an unpleasant feeling that there is a serious battle ahead with NATO troops in direct combat with the Russian army, and this moment is approaching.

The mercenary has already learned - “It’s not even possible.” They will pass for Ukrainians.

Everything may turn out to be simpler. They did not abolish dual citizenship, and a black man with a Ukrainian certificate, but who does not speak language, will sit in the cockpit.

I read that at least 4 F16s are already based in Romania, with Ukrainian pilots!

"This year" can mean anything. Including the coming hours. Usually, statements about deliveries are made after the deliveries themselves.

Well, since they said it, so it will be. Everything will be so, only what price will Ukraine pay for it. Cheese in a mousetrap is never free.

The main question is where will they be based? If they are of the type of British patrol boats (donated to Ukraine, but stationed in British ports), then what the heck with them. Before the first flight.

        Poland, Romania and even Moldova.

They might as well be based in America. The neighbors of Nezalezhnaya, having stationed crappy F-16s at their airfields, do not risk anything until their first use. After this location, the location is a legitimate target. But it is stupid to place them on the territory of Ukraine. They won't last long. Goal #1. They don’t mind using any means of destruction. And the bonuses for their destruction, I believe, will be higher than for “Abramov” and “Leoperdov” hi

At the end of May, beginning of June, the first F 16s will be in Ukraine. The number of aircraft will be small at first (compared to the number of Russian aviation), so I can assume (I could be wrong) that they will only be used to combat KAB carriers.

“It’s such a booze, cut the last cucumber” - they will give it soon, remember the rush of about 60 lard from the USA. Dali will give more. War against Russia, money is not a pity.

They will fly far from the front line and lure Russian fighters into air defense ambushes. This seems to be the most profitable use of them.
