“Reaching a new level”: the head of the Iranian Ministry of Defense noted the development of military-political relations with Russia

In recent years, there has been a significant development in relations between the Russian Federation and Iran, including in the military-political sphere. This was stated by the Minister of Defense and Support of the Armed Forces of Iran Mohammad Ashtiani.

Today, the head of the Iranian military department participated in negotiations with the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu, which took place in Astana. Ashtiani thanked Shoigu for Russian support during the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital Damascus.

The reaction of the Russian side to Iran's response in the form of attacks on Israeli military infrastructure was called “balanced” by the Minister of Defense of the Islamic Republic.

Our relations are only deepening and expanding, reaching a new level

- noted the Iranian Defense Minister.

Let us recall that Western countries accuse Iran of providing support to Russia in carrying out a special military operation, including allegedly supplying unmanned aerial vehicles. Both Russia and Iran deny these statements, but Ukrainian and Western sources stubbornly continue to call the Russian UAVs "Geran" and "Geran-2" "Shaheds" - as drones Iranian production.

However, military-technical ties between Russia and Iran are indeed only developing and growing. This is understandable, given that both countries face similar challenges and risks, including provocations from the West and its satellites.

Well, Iran is a more reliable travel companion than most of those who have entered into various agreements with us, so such ties need to be developed.

That’s the point of reaching some kind of military level of cooperation, if even politicians are using their military capabilities to a fault. Most of our military “failures/slowdowns” are dictated by the decisions of timid/inhibited politicians.

Ivan Ivanov hi, so this is everywhere and everywhere, as soon as politicians interfere in military affairs it turns out (censorship).

The motive, the rational grain of such actions is unclear. Like our quick successes will provoke the West into a nuclear conflict, and slow gnawing will create the impression of a lack of success, will force us to be distracted and mind our own business, so what?

So, what about the complete lifting of sanctions against Iran? Or, does the policy of double standards still dominate common sense?

Thrifty hi, but who now complies with all these sanctions and treaties, it’s just an appearance, Moscow and the DPRK are your example, and here officially yes sanctions but in fact mutually beneficial cooperation, there is also as an example Afghanistan and a certain organization that is currently prohibited.

Murmur55 - well, even more so, we need to show that in relation to Iran, our decisions and actions are not momentary, but permanent relationships for the long haul!

Thrifty, but here I think there are agreements between Moscow and Tehran, otherwise Iran would not have cooperated with Russia if it had been principled about these sanctions and the signatures of our leaders under them, just like Pyongyang. And whoever needs it will quietly convey through diplomacy that it is beneficial to cooperate with us, and then let them decide for themselves whether to follow the path of Iran or Brussels.

Yes, we need to lift sanctions against Iran and North Korea and other countries, and as quickly as possible without causing disgrace. There is essentially a direct attack by the United States and the West against us, and we are complying with American and European sanctions against our allies.

In a world of terrorist states and irresponsible hegemons, you need to look for any points of contact with like-minded people (at least with fellow travelers going in the same direction).
And it’s definitely not worth looking around at the recommendations of your enemies, or listening to the advice of various thieves’ organizations.

It also seems to me that the threat of the global toad is so great that all local disagreements can be shoved into a long box.

Iran is a good ally, we still need to establish military-technical cooperation with Yemen, maybe after that the United States and the West will get scared and stop pointing missiles from Ukraine at Russia. Ours are doing everything, unfortunately, very slowly, while after terrorist attacks in Ukraine and the West, civilians of the Russian Federation are also dying.

The Persians are good warriors and worthy allies, but they do not know how to forgive betrayal and double-dealing... What our Leaders, at all levels, should remember and take into account in their statements and actions...

We would also have the Saudis and Qatar as friends and the Zionists would be in peace!

Dear Argon! The Zionists will have a “skim”, or rather, it has already been “arranged” by MI-6 (Britain), with “back-up dancers” from the EU... The main thing for us now is not to “get caught up” in these Middle Eastern “showdowns” and to be closely involved in Ukroreich ... After the victory over Ukroreich (NATO), there will be no end to those who want to become Russia's friends and allies... And the Persians, in all respects, are "worth" the entire Middle East.... Under certain conditions ("break off" the USA ) they will be able to independently, without straining, keep the entire Middle East and northern Africa in a tight grip, to our great pleasure....
